People do care. I was drawing by myself once at a table and a guy and girl pointed and laughed at me. I also have memories of carrying around folders filled with drawings and they would often fall out in front of other people.

The times I had art supplies in public, girls were curious and wanted to see them.
It's ultimately more about who you are than what you are doing.
If you look tough, a guy is not likely to start shit, if a girl thinks you are attractive, she is likely to be interested.
Ultimately don't give a shit, you either do what you like in life or hide it for being self conscious, one is clearly preferable to the other.

I’ve practiced drawing from life in a small sketchbook at music festivals, people either don’t notice or give you compliments in my experience

I don’t like to draw in public because some retard (read: normie) will ask me “did you draw that?” While observing me in the act of drawing that. What, do they think I’m just touching up someone else’s work or something? I remember back in HS pointing out what an idiotic question that was and then got punched in the nose. That was when I learned not to talk to niggers.

First time drawing in public for me was visiting an art museum to do studies. Couple of people walked by and started complementing me even though I was atleast beg-tier. Dunno if they had any malicious intents but I was for once proud of my work that day.

I draw a lot in public with my ipad and using my phone as reference sometimes and every time some guy ask me if they wanted to see more I just show them the rest of the art which are either nude females from doing life drawings or little girls and landscapes.

some cultures are all about maintaining a sense of disengagement... I've found that people get very excited and charged up when they see me drawing anything, even if its /beg/ tier. I think Normies are generally very bored and any contact with Art galvanizes them.
