its actually kind of good. I am going to make a critique on the eyes however. You have to remember that the eye sockets in the skull do have depth as well. The eye on her right, aka the eye that is closest to the left side of the image should be slightly more in her skull instead of drawn as a symbol. Same thing with the lips, they are more on the symbol side. Also raise the mouth and nose to make it line up more accurately. Very well done however gmi

You can move both but for broader strokes use your arm more. It takes a really long time to get used to changing that up (at least in my experience), but it should give you more control eventually.

I get that you're shitposting but i'll give my two cents on the issue as a /beg/

Easiest way to visualize a circle to me is by thinking of a circle as two symmetrical half-circles joined together.

So as long as you have good general symmetry for one side, you can use it to reference for the other side and draw until you get a symmetrical circle.

Alternatively, just use the shape or pen tool lol

Didn't take his course, but cross contours help to define a form without rendering. Without the cross contour, the shapes look like random splotches, but with the cross contour, you can imagine these shapes in 3d and see them as round volumes.

How do I improve my detail drawing? I can draw the outlines and big forms and get the proportions of big objects pretty well (for a beginner anyway) but when I try to draw something small and detailed it looks absolutely nothing like the reference. Are there any exercises other than just drawing details?
For example I drew my instrument and everything looked pretty ok until I started drawing the botanical mother-of-pearl decoration on the soundboard.
It seems to me that my hand coordination just sucks.

mileage is only good for making straighter lines/lines more accurate to your imagination. If his imagination can only visualize faces that look like that, then he's drawing to his best ability because he just cannot visualize a more detailed face other than the basic symbols in the face. Then did a RNG for each row and got myself Plant lizard. Did the same thing for the head, body and tail size. And then what it would be doing, And got sleeping. Think this would work out well to force you to try different things you usually would never think of.

its better in that it isnt crooked. and you didn't draw in the top lip. but you are still drawing a flat picture. you need to work on your ability to just draw a basic 3 dimensional shape. if i was to draw a cube around the head you made, the front face is basically just facing forward, so it doesnt make sense that we can also see the side of his head. if his head is turned away we should see his facial features wrapping around his head on a curve following the round shape of the head. get good at simple stuff first. i know its boring but its the only way.

aigth brahs, today I was looking at my
Atlas of Human Anatomy and I felt bad that I couldn't do art like that; I got some kind of Existential Dread so I decidet to start drawing.
First I drew that dude Igor and I felt that It was boring, after I finished I started drawing Senku just letting myself go but ended up looking like Shit (left). Unmotivated I watched some Tedx video about 20 hours and decided to re-draw it swallowing my pride and used the Angle technique(rigth). It got way better but I can't help to compare myself with that dude Boichi.
What could I buy to make some finer lines? I feel that appart from having some messed up proportions my drawings are too mushy. I showed in my pic all the """"""Art""""" supplies I have to draw. I don't have that much money tho.

I asked this in a previous thread and am still having this problem...

My drawings/paintings come out crooked/slanted. Everything looks right until I flip it horizontally, then it becomes apparent that all my vertical lines are slanted and things I thought were on the same horizontal lines are skewed (eyes don't match up for example.

I've tried sitting differently, holding the pencil differently, making sure I'm not tilting my head or body and really focusing on making straight lines and it still comes out shitty, sometimes less than others, but damn.

I can sort of fix this by constantly flipping the canvas and adjusting but it's really frustrating and seems like I'm overworking my paintings just trying to fix the most basic of things.
I've looked around online and it seems to be a thing some artists experience, but I haven't really found any viable reasons/solutions. Any ideas? Anyone have experience with this?

We're not asking you to post projects that you spent weeks on, but if you want people to spend more than 5 minutes of their day looking at your stuff than you should spend more than 5 minutes of your time drawing. Come back to us with something that took you at least an hour of your time.

try doing exercises from keys to drawing if you haven't already, most of them demand anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours to do properly. it's quite accessible for beginners, at least until you get to parts that call for leaving your house, that shit kills me.

drawing the simplified three dimensional form your subject, generally as collection of interrelated cubes/spheres/cones etc. it lays a groundwork for your drawing which you can then build on top of.

Is this yours?>>4826690 because that isn't a bad effort for that particular exercise. it's not a flawless 1/1 copy but it seems like you got the gist of it, I really don't get the hysterics. Try doing the next exercise and stop overthinking this.

You'd learn by more buying a pack of shading pencils and a sketchbook.

Working through fundamentals right now, doing body, hands, legs, and what not, with flow and opposing theory. This shit's rough. I feel like I'm not making any progress, but I guess that I am. Since I've only been drawing for a month, and I just started this bit a few days ago. But damn, I never thought it would actually be something that takes time to get good at. Everything else I've ever done in my life has always been sort of easy and straight forward to understand and do, but drawing is fucking hard.
