What book/instructor/course singlehandedly helped you progress the most in art?

Vandruff for me.

My art friend, who offers criticism here and there.

As for who hindered me back the most, Drawabox guy. Not because of the method, but because of his insistence on making perfect lines with a ruler for borders, being disciplined about the non-drawing stuff and whatnot. "If you don't have what it takes to do it neatly and properly, then you don't have what it takes to draw".

Those words alone and the fact that I indeed couldn't ass myself to do the stupid lines held me back for a good two years. I am very autistic, so I either do as the instructions say, or I get stuck in a rut. But geting stuck might have taught me something, so even the worst disasters can teach you something I guess.
