You could pirate an older version, but also you don't have to use photoshop to follow the excercises and instructions of ctrl+paint.
All the things he does are possible to do in a free drawing program like krita.
You might have to look up how to do something in the specific program you're using, but it's absolutely possible.
And it's the same for most drawing instruction and courses anyway, for better or worse photoshop is still the standard. You'll have a hard time finding something specific to whatever program you're using.

Pic related is an amazing idea I had that I just had to scribble out. I didn’t use any reference and I was quickly just scribbling it out in pen because I was so eager to get it down on paper, but basically, it’s a rough draft of what will one day be my magnum opus. I desire nothing more than to show the world how grand I am, and so I figured I needed to show that in my ultimate work. My general form is portrayed as the largest compositional piece, because I really am a larger than life figure. He will be towering over the slain corpse of a grizzly bear, showing the superiority of a godly Herculean man over the cruelty and barbarity of nature. I will have two 6/10 women on their knees next to me, much smaller than I and not horrendously attractive so as to not steal any attention. Additionally, I will be holding a book in my left hand, amazing the world with my intellect, and I’ll also make sure it’s a book written by me to show my immensely superior mind. Most importantly, I’ll be flipping off the viewer, telling them no matter how hard they try, they’ll never be a divine deity like me.

I like it overall. The worst part is probably the face. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong with it, but it doesn't look appealing. Maybe it's how much more detailed and darker the eyes are compared to the rest of it, giving the impression of a blank mask, or maybe a skull. Maybe it's just something with the expression.
Also, the way the hat sits on her head doesn't really make sense. It's too big, off balance, and just seems to kind of float there.
Oh, and, the right gun barrel is shorter and thicker than the left. It wouldn't even be noticeable, but they're right next to each other.

The main problem was the Brest line leading up to the calourbone was too high? So doesn't pic related fix the main issue? You have strong potential with challenging yourself, it's fine for /beg/, great if from imagination, and you'll do a lot better soon as long as you focus on studies. Your upper right arm is way too long, the abdomen should be higher to the titties, the fingers could always be better, and the hatching is lazy and just guesswork for shading.

Read some books about simple figure drawing to help you out. I recommend Figure Drawing for Artists, read the book and do all the exercises and try this again afterward.

I think you got the posture right. The ear looks rotated and positioned wrong (too low and too horizontal) and you can do better with the hair with ribbon practice and study with references. Maybe the neck base and shading and the crease on the arm getting pressed looks off too. Keep at it, you're doing great overall.
