its kind of weird, most artists would be happy to answer the basics of what theyre doing but everytime ive seen anything art related questions pop up in his twitch chat he never answers them. Obviously it mightve just been the few times i've tuned in but it kind of gave me a bad taste

I really like him and used to listen to his Twitch when he did daily shows in the morning (or at night where he was). He always greets everyone when the stream starts, has answered several of my questions, and I subbed a few months using my Twitch Prime sub so I got access to all his resources and brushes and stuff.
I know his format has changed, since his father fell ill so I dunno
Also I know that he founded a Twitch team but he’s no longer involved in it and it’s completely shit now.

In my experience, whenever I would ask /beg/ level questions they were usually met with sarcastic responses, or he flat out ignored me. Beyond that, I don't know what else would qualify for a shitty personality. But I'm sure many people on this board would say being anti-beg isn't really a bad personality trait.

There are a lot nicer Art streamers on Twitch who will answer your questions but SaeJin has a lot of viewers (so gets a lot of repeat questions) and his chat moves really fast, so take all that into consideration. It really seems like he doesn’t enjoy streaming anymore but has to fulfill his Partner status

he`s too much of a weirdo to me, as i said, if he was just another online artist, no one would have contact with that side. But twitch exposes that. The way he interacts with some of his mods is weird. And it`s not anti-beg. He does think that sharing something is like exposing secrets, and he should get money for simple questions people make. I could understand if it were questions like: How do i draw? But most of the times are things related to what he is doing and he chooses to answer with sarcasm, almost like he does't get that anwering it brings value to the stream.

So, i was an avid follower since he started streaming pretty much. Back then he was only on youtube. I could see that he was
a nice dude, he would get along with everyone pretty easy and the stream was entertaining, tho not as big as it is today.
He would reach peaks of 90 viewers back then. I recently watched his live and something happened, he changed and it's more reluctant.
Don't know what happend to him tho.

I got plenty of critiques from him back then (live streamed and all). And his discord was actually a nice place to learn and chill. Now it looks like an old attic, low chatting and
a small number of sections.

I think he's tired of streaming. He could easily turn his stream into something less stressfull, like making it not so long and distancing himself from getting a small number of
active followers that get his attention into making contact with everyone as a community. Focusing on mods is not ideal. Tho he did that from the very beggining and as I see
he still does, but with less intensity.

He is a good artist overall, but he burns himself so much, it's not healthy at all. He lives in Korea, so he livestream during the night and sleeps during the day, meaning that he probably
have weird sleeping patterns and doesn't get as much vitamin D as a person should. He could stream this time, but for less hours. 9 hours+ streaming is just insane.
Working is one thing, streaming for that long tho, it's completely different.

He genuinely helped me back then, I was a mod for him for a bit. Wish he had a more clear career path and made decisions that would benefit his health and his community to make it grow
healthier, but as it seems he's not going to.

I used to watch him a lot when he first started streaming on Twitch and I remember him explaining his process with the layers.
The thing about answering /beg/ questions is that they never end. The entire stream would turn into a teaching stream from beginning to end if he entertains the questions.

I really like his art, but his streams have changed drastically from when he used to do critiques and lessons. tried coming back to watch his stream after not seeing it for a while, and one of his mods kept arguing with him about viewership. I think the chat made him cry from stress at one point.

I like Sae Jin's art, but like people have been saying, his personality is lacking. He's clearly a hard worker, and I admire the fuck out of that. But I think if he was little friendlier, he'd be more popular.

whether it's intentional or not, who knows. but i've been asked before to go through my process while drawing, and it's hard to put that into words. while you start out with a stick figure and basic forms, things can get fuzzy as you're jumping from one point to another and working the drawing. just doing and not thinking.

Probably because the questions he gets asked take a while to explain and he'd rather grind, which is understandable. Though a lot of the questions are "How do I get better at x?" and honestly, practicing and studying is the only real answer
