Alright /ic, SERIOUS THREAD.
How can I emulate this style? Do you know any speedpaint videos from this author or something identical?

hard round brush, color the lineart in clipping layer, separate layers for each element in perspective, smudge tool for shiny parts, transparency for sword, adjust levels, curves, exposure, and brightness afterwards

should take you about 4 and a half hours if you know how to draw, done ezpz gg

If you don't know how you can "emulate" it, you're not ready to emulate it yet.

Once you learn the basics and progress through learning how to paint digital, you'll start to see how the effects for each element in that pic were achieved, from constructing the body, colour, materials, etc

So learn some more anon

Find the artist's other works, try to see what's common in them, check his early works versus his most recent, try to understand his progression.
If you want to emulate a style you need to reverse engineer it to understand how it's done.
When i was young i was so into Hyung Tae Kim that i spent hours trying to replicate his coloring technique, understanding how it was done and then finding ways to do it quicker. Doing so trains your eye to analyze how things are done.
Long story short, analyze > practice > grind.

There's texture in the linework and the highlights as well, /beg/anon. And someone already shared a video of the artist lining with a CSP pencil brush.

I don't understand how they deal with lineart. I use hard round brush in multiply layer, but when I colored the lineart, it never look good and I'm not impressed. It's like the lineart stand out too much and looks crisp and doesn't blend well, while GBF looks soft and beautiful
