Yeah I love this shit. One of my favourite things to do is draw /beg/s ocs. They always appreciate that shit and it makes me happy. Also I can really only draw consistently if I'm pressured into doing it and this is perfect.

Essentially it's just art trades as a "competitive" game. You list characters on your profile, and other people draw those characters to "attack" you. They get points for attacking you that contribute to their corresponding team based on the level of "effort" put into the piece or "attack."

Typically speaking you're then supposed to "attack" that person back although you don't have to. If you did though, you'd just draw one of their characters and post it on the website.

It's a really big event and you can join the discord (it's on the website) to get a feel for the community. It's mostly begs & furries but a few well known/ good artist will join too.

Overall I think it's pretty fun. I like drawing other people's characters. Although I make sure not to promise and "attack back" everyone who attacks me because waaaay too many begs attack me every year wanting what's essentially free art.

It is pretty good for improvement and getting a good workflow.

I think the themes are gay, but I'm gonna have a lot of fun this year. I wanna draw the OC's that are clearly made by kids. I would've loved getting my shitty OC's drawn as a kid.

I've only been in the last one because I keep forgetting about it (it's in the same month as my birthday and a lot of conventions), and I still only did one attack. But it was what looked like a kid's OC so it was fun. I hope to do a full month streak this year. I just need to make a few more OCs/refs. I only have like 5 characters and they're kinda samey (all fantasy animals) so I think it'd help out.

Featured artists are just donators. They aren't featured by their work. There are good artists on the site and you can choose to attack them only. If your art is anything above average, you can get a ton of defenses on your character and possibly the good artists will attack you back. In the end free oc art and subjects for quick art studies.

i never do too many attacks, but i like having an excuse to draw some more varied designs and things outside of my comfort zone. i like drawing the OCs of kids and /beg/-tier artists especially because they really appreciate it and it can be really encouraging for new artists. i would've fucking loved this shit as a kid if people drew my OCs

Not entirely true, a lot of women keep their childhood sparkledog OCs. No different from being a manchild.
But regardless, not all of them are sparkledogs. I've seen a lot of relatively normal designs for both ferals and "funny animals". Like a cartoon rabbit similar to Bugs Bunny, was just grey. I'm currently drawing a brown wolf. It's not that rare.
