Personally I love focusing on improving my art. I absolutely hate that it mediocre right now I want it to be better. I don't think I'll be satisfied because I know I can do better. Art is my passion so it's how I express myself.

But some people just want to get paid to do art.

Do you understand how this works? If people simply gave value to art, and artists didn't have to starve and "do it for the art" but were actually valued for their contribution to culture, things wouldn't be so shit.
Every single novel that made history was written to be published and sold. Some didn't make a lot of money in their time, but they did make SOME money. There was a reward for people who made them, and it wasn't just money but actual recognition, unlike a buncha shitty likes on Twitter.

Objectively false. For many novels publishing was mainly a way of achieving publicity instead of making money. It's when the artist gives people what he thinks they need instead of what they want.

trans people make up 0.6% of the population and yet somehow every one of them in existence has ended up on my feed and they're all exclusively teenaged girls larping as guys who draw colorful animals. it tires me because I like cute non porno furry art and have to weigh following someone who draws that sort of content with getting their random tirades about teen angst and suffering for being gay/bi/trans and/or attacking someone anti-lgbt in every other post. i started following asian artists lately because they tend to just post art and if it's not art it's like a photo of a plant or electric scooter or something not so bothersome.

Most actual transgenders, the ones who actually take hormones and might mutilate their bodies, are male-to-female for whatever fucking reason.
