I feel like the issue with calling people out to stagnating is that it's not really productive discussion besides "yeah this dad is bad" most of the time. Obviously this is 4chan and you shouldn't be too sensitive to this sort of stuff, but the only real benefit of having an anonymous forum is that you can provide anonymous criticism. But even then most of the actual in-depth crit happens off-anon, while almost all the thread critique is very surface level and unhelpful, which makes anons in the threads saying "xyz user is stagnating" look more like crabbing than anything.

All that biological stuff is irrelevant, but I think what you fail to consider is how important art is to him so you cannot just tell him to give up. Imagine how your attitude changes if you see this goal as something you cannot give up on as if the world depended on it, because as seen by his pact art does mean the world to him. But anyways I would like to see how he'd tackle a master study and repaint something like pic related. I tried a master study I didn't post to dad but it made me realize there was more care and color fluctuation in one tiny square of the painting compared to the entirety of my art.

I think 4chan cultures a sort of defeatist attitude. The people here aren't exactly the enthusiastic self promoting young artists, they're usually the jaded and ground down nubs pushing for fundies. A part of them may have "wanted it" another may have self sabotaged themselves before they started. This can just all be projection and arm chair psychology. Well, for starters I Thai it'd be cool if all dads who are not very present would pop up here and there, even with just a random comment. There's many I know absolute 0 about as I have never heard from them or interacted with them (if I don't mention you, this might be the case). Plus there's usually so many submissions that I don't get to check all of them to be super familiar with every single dad's work.
But, to name a couple, I'll list them and comment on the valuable characteristic I see in them that I think would be great if they shared more of:

You may notice that I mainly comment on their attributes related to art, because as much as I like talking about random whatever, at the end of the day I tend to have more fun discussing art related stuff and seeing what other people see and hear them talk about the things they're good at, what they've developed and how they look at their work.

Thanks. I've been around for a long time now and, while some people might see that as an advantage, in a lot of way it only makes things worse. Like I've just got into the habit of keeping to myself and staying quiet, and now it's difficult to break. The RPG challenge basically forced me to communicate with other daddies which helped me make a little progress.

It's good to save stuff on a cloud or something too, just in case something happens to both your pc and any flash drives/memory devices you have.
