you want to generally avoid blender for anything unless you want to probably do some quick video editing.
If you want to model you pick up 3Ds max as it has very handy tools, If you want to do fast Nurbs modeling there is modo(i think), Rhino3D, and some free programs i cant think of, but lastly Autodesks fusion.

If you want to animate, maya.
if you want to sculpt, Zbrush,Mudbox.
if you want to do simulations, cinema4 or houdini.
there are other decent programs too, but dont do blender.

because most of the programs ive linked are also suites especially cinema4d and maya. But im only telling you what the strong points are. The thing here to take away is. you focus on one thing specifically because 3D is a huge field. blender's suite is just weak and constantly under updates and playing catch up with the rest of the programs that are focused in modeling, animation and sculpting. There are also other better compositing programs like nuke than to just use blender. also all of these programs you can get them for free with student licenses so no fucking excuses.

Not that anom but I'm a freelancer and I use CSP much more than Photoshop. I used only Photoshop for 10 years, and though it is powerful it's still focused on being a program for photo editing. Its really not great for digital painting, I've had a lot of frustrations and complaints. It's very hard to get natural looking results and remove the plasticy digital feel.

I've replaced a lot of my process with CSP because it just feels so much better to create in. Photoshop is now for small adjustments and filters when finishing up a work.

I've noticed a lot of professionals and other freelancer buddies of mine switching from Photoshop to CSP. Maybe it was the industry standard before but I think that's changing lately.

What I had in mind was that people who have less time or want to do a longer/harder course can do the 8 hours if they don't want to spend more time. The finish a course in a month was mostly put to push myself and maybe others to actually learn more. Dare never confronted the admin on the harassment "charges" but decided to use that as an excuse to get rid of me. KazooKD likes to stick her nose into everything and butt in on things that didn't concern her by actually sticking up for dare thinking he was a female.
