They stopped giving a fuck about making good tablets and got too comfortable in their seat as the #1 tablet manufacturer (a long time ago they were the only good one and had cornered the market with their patents in place). They decided to start money grubbing by using crappier material products and keep selling them for a premium price, making active area rougher than it had any right being while making nibs softer, forcing cintiq users to buy a VERY expensive adapter to enable VESA mount usage, selling cheap-ass tablet stands for $500, limiting the use of pro pens on cheap tablets even though they were compatible between the mid range and expensive tablets before, and they still don't give a single fuck about customer support, taking a page from the Adobe Support handbook; If there is a problem, ignore it or tell users that problem doesn't exist and it will surely go away.

They've been trying to cover the cheap tablet market recently, making budget versions of cintiqs and bamboos, releasing the wacom one to compete with huion, but they're made out of even shittier materials than everything else they sell which is saying something. Their cheap shit is almost on par with the knockoff brands and that's awful. Wacom has also stopped innovating and has started copying the competition. Whats the most innovative thing they've done recently, a 4k display and replacing express keys with a shitty controller that nobody wants? Wow. Spying on people with their drivers? Cool, now they can get info on what hentai Wacom users watch.

Wacom needs to wake the fuck up and realize that if these other companies are going to overtake them if they keep improving. Wacom needs to start improving again themselves, they need to start using quality materials again and quit the money grubbing bullshit.

But they won't. Sad to see an old friend go like this, but they've been digging their own grave for a while and refuse to stop.

Nothing. Wacom, like Apple, is still the best and will remain the best forever because Chinese and Indians are incompetent and only good at assembling the product, not designing it. Cope harder though poorfag, it won't get you a drawing tablet even half the level of quality or experience as the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 inch with Apple Pencil and Procreate or the quality experience of a Wacom 24 inch.

Been using a 24HD Cintiq for years. I had maybe 3 instances where it didn't work, and it was a conflict with Windows Ink.

>> No.4660110

It's 2 pretty different products, so it's hard to make a proper comparison. It's a completely different feel of the surface and the pen. What they have in common are very good precision, minimisation of parallax and wobble effect, picture and color quality.
All aspects where Huion and other cheap chinese knockofs lag behind both Wacom and Apple.

>> No.4660294

>>4659708
I've upgraded from the Cintiq 16 to the XP pen 22. Frankly you hardly notice a difference when drawing.

What is nice about XP pen is that it came with a screen protector already installed, a spare pen, pen stand, extra nibs. All which Wacom charges an arm and a leg for. You can also use any run of the mill arm monitor but Wacom makes you buy their Jew arm for a couple hundred dollars.

Basically you're getting price gauged just because you wanted Wacom. Also Xp pen and Huion have caught up, the battery free pen arguement is done as wacom doesn't have the patent any more. Now they're on 24 inch monitors which are extra high definition.

The only thing I really have a complaint with on xp-pen and huion is the fucking tilt and rotation. I come from a traditional art background and am used to being able to replicate that shit on my Wacom tablet. But I hate Wacom so I want to switch entirely to another company.

Bought an xp pen and there is tilt but it acts kind of weird and unnatural for me and then there's no rotation at all. What the fuck.

First of those guys to make something with tilt and rotation that feels right gets my money.

You want to rotate the tablet or the software?

If it's the tablet get a smaller tablet or bigger desk. If it's the software I use CSP and rotate works exactly the same as wacom?

The tilt, all of them have adjustable stands which give about 3 different heights, they feel fine to me. Or get a monitor arm and move it to your exact liking. I also forgot to mention drivers in my first post, 0 issues with XP pen.

Honestly Wacom offers nothing but brand, since all the other companies now have the battery free pen. Maybe next year Xppen and Huion will offer a 4k screen. Both companies also work harder to earn your money, with sales bundles, customer service.

Wacom seems to just overprice everything cause they got that name recognition. Not sure if it's really cause they are so much better or just marketing at this point.

Anyone got a XP-PEN Deco Pro? Thinking about ordering one this week, and it seems to be the best tablet outside of the expensive Intuos Pro Medium which is too high for my budget right now, and the regular non-pro Intuos looks like some cheap ass piece of fucking trash honestly. I want to step up in size from my old small Bamboo.
