If you get a chance to actually watch Steven Universe, their conversations don't flow. Actually listening to the characters talk and interact is very jarring. This Illustration style of the early to mid 1900’s. It’s featured a lot in the Fallout games, in Loomis’s books, and in a lot of old book covers.

In 2012-2013, this youtuber named "Pan Pizza" from "RebelTaxi99" was making art while going to a university majoring in art. After graduation, he decided to excel in youtube videos and graphic design. The man has a great sense in colors, shapes and dynamic lines, but has stagnated when comes to drawing actual figures/characters. I was checking his art from 3 years ago, and he only improved by 20%. I only hate his artstyle because I know his aesthetic approach and see the potential in it. He wants to draw like Studio Trigger/Gainax directors Yoh Yoshinari and Atsushi Nishigori but with thicker lines, yet he knows nothing about anatomy and has admitted to getting overwhelmed at challenging his art

Are you retarded? They repeated many times that their goal wasn't to "revive" 2d animation, which isn't even dead to begin with, but rather to evolve it. This movie innovated a shading style which allowed much more volumetric shading at a fraction of the time required for traditional shading methods, once the movie released they uploaded process videos to inspire other studios to further push the medium. While technology for 3d animation has been evolving exponentially over the years, 2d animation kind of stagnated, sticking to classic flat characters (with cell shading if you have the time/budget). Movies like Klaus, Promare or even Spiderverse (mostly 3d but a lot of 2d elements integrated into the rendering) show that it's possible to adapt 2d hand-drawn characters to new technologies. Who cares if the background elements and the sleds in Klaus were made in 3d? Or if the colors and shading were automatically generated by a program? It allows the animators to focus on the stuff they actually enjoy, by removing the tedious parts of the pipeline. If the 3d-integrated vehicles don't look wonky and barely even feel like 3d renders is there even a reason to complain?

There’s no sense of proportion. Things are monstrously sized. Everything looks wet. Characters are usually posed in twisted, crumpled up poses. Pic related isn’t exactly what I’m talking about but the one fact thing actually makes me feel sick when I see it so I grabbed the first example I could find.
