Why is my art still so fucking shitty and soulless after 6 months of drawing? Why can't I just be a BBC Chan or a Bengus from the start?

Unironically curious, at what time frame do you start to see REAL results where you’ll be able to start pulling shit off naturally (assuming you’ve been studying diligently the whole time)?

Stop posting this crap idiot, burn that fucking drawing in hell and start doing something new. Stupid /beg/.

I only been drawing for almost 2 years and only recently (2 months) I seriously started drawing and seen improvements in a span of weeks, mostly related to finished work and tons of grinding, rendering, and drawing the same thing over and over again. Of course I had to initially built that mileage from those first year and a half of drawing shit I like.
>do i still use references
Yes of course I’m not kim jung gi and haven’t drew as much as he did to shit out anything decent from imagination.
>how many hours do you draw now
Usually 3-7 hours, im trying to push 8hours while being constant.
>how do I draw for a long periods of time
Starting a fire under your ass in a form of a schedule and a routine in mind, also a stopwatch to track how many hours you’re actually drawing instead of shitposting. I’m fairly constant till my graphic tablet died on me so i had to order a new which will arrive in 2 weeks.
Pic related is what a schedule looks like

Based persevering anon, would you say that setting up a schedule to draw specific things like you did is highly beneficial or would “just draw” work for someone who’s conscientious about what they’re doing?

What is your end goal first? Is your end goal is to draw like those artist then study their work and the fundamentals knowledge that requires to draw like them, ect anatomy, rendering, perspective, ect you get the idea, you shouldn’t “just draw” but instead study like draw 1-2 pieces of their artwork then after that draw let’s say 20 figures and 10 clothing studies. And after that some anatomy related stuff. Also occasionally do finished pieces once a while to benchmark your skill level as well. Having a schedule helps in drawing something if you don’t have any idea what to draw/practice today.
I recommend widening your palette of different artist so you don’t just end up being a wannabe/copycat.

Can you post what your improvement looks like? I'm genuinely curious

And yes I feel like the hand isn’t really resting on the hips. Will fix that later

>> No.4614584

You wasted lots of time polishing something that's wrong from the start.

Be more analytic of your own work, notice what's wrong and study how to fix it. Use references for your poses, build a strong visual library. If you don't know how to do something, you can't will it, you need to compare it to people who solved the same issues you're having. When you study calculus you can't solve theorems by yourself, you need to see how they were solved first to apply them later.

Get some taste, too. And stop spamming the board with your shitty art.
