Weekly battle shonen is easily the worst manga genre, with self insert harem romcoms only barely behind it. “Modern” art is not some modern anymore since “modernity” was born right after Cézanne and made its breakthrough in the 1900s to 1950s. I mean it’s been around for more than 100 years. After that it got old pretty fast and has lost a lot of its appeal.

Also one thing, the old “modern” artists (ie right in the heart of many modern art movements, those in the 1900s) all went through classical apprenticeship, ie they all mastered fundies. What I have posted is a landscape by Henri Epstein, a mid-range 1930s-1940s painter of the Modern Paris school. His prices today are roughly around 5k-15k, not the highest of the market, not the most sought after, but it belongs to a type of art that some collectors and viewers can like.
The values are not so random since all the colors are responding to each other - similarly to Matisse but without Matisse’s avant-gardism.

Now that is absolute horseshit, those paintings are worthless in any capacity other than from people propagating the fact they are worth something, they're like paper money, it only has value if the institutions behind it say it has value.
Whereas other real art with worth will have artistic value well beyond the time any institution says it has value, abstract art is paper money completely dependent on context and real art is precious metals, it's value is apparent to all indefinitely.
