Just passing by to thank you all for these threads, specially to those who uploaded the files. In my country I wouldn't dare to dream to be able to have access to such amazing education, both by the quality of art education around here and the price barrier. I unironically recommend Vilppu. He doesn't teach anything radically different, just basic drawing fundamentals, but he teaches them in a way that's comprehensive and rational. His lectures may seem a bit nonsensical at first, focusing on spherical forms, box forms, cylinders separately, but they're each lessons on different techniques of form analysis. Go through his lectures, take notes, practice, and you'll have a complete understanding of how to go from gesture to solid, rendered form, with no questions at all about the process or methodologies behind drawing or painting.

I'm the anon who posted it. It was never supposed to be a curriculum.

If you look in the pastebin link ( >>/ic/thread/S4289889#p4331902 ) you'll see that was a response to the following question: "Which video course should a complete beginner start with?" And those were options the anon should chose from since being fundamentals courses they teach the same thing.

It was followed by a makeshift curriculum just to get you started, since there are multiple objectives in art there are multiple curriculum and you should make you own:

"After that you can go on your own choosing how to progress but I advise:

It depends on what course can grab your attention. A lot of people will tell you to follow some strict guide or some strict curriculum like in the links provided here >>4575605 or whatever else, but personally I didn't find anything interesting in Loomis or Norling's books that got me to put down something on paper. However as soon as I watched Scott Robertson's videos it clicked and I was having fun doing constructions, from there I picked things I liked here and there from various Youtubers, Peter Han, Alphonso Dunn etc.

So my tip for you is to try a bit of everything, see which formats you like (book or videos) and which instructors works best for you. Drawing needs to be fun after all, why make it a drag.

I'm uploading Sarah, Liv and Quick Sketch studies. All of them involving graphite/charcoal and chalk

It's a shame I lost the Sarah videos, as they explained the process from doing a charcoal to painting it in oils. Luckily the Sargent video explains the oils part anyways

If you're more interested in how to use your graphite/charcoals as a base for an oil painting, the way Stephen did it, I recommend this video from the Barcelona Academy of Art:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCVm67n_c98

Didn't get to watch him but I'm pretty sure Cesar Santos uses the same method too.

Thank You! brother but i am only focused on graphite drawings as my country doesnt supply quality charcoal pencil, nitram and generals pencils, retailers never heard of them, we have steadtler pencils but it is also very expensive....Thank you for you efforts :D

Don't worry man. I downloaded him for his charcoal/graphite too.

In his materials video he explains that he's very fond of mechanical pencils (he even uses mechanical erasers) but you can achieve the same results with sharpened pencils too. Of course he explains how to sharpen them.

If you can get a kneaded eraser and white chalk/pastel pencils you're good to go. The rest of his recommendations maybe help save some time but are not vital. And are kinda on the expensive side too. The method's what matters.
