op I'm legit curious, I'm trying to learn perspective too, why aren't they parallel? since you've marked the vanishing point going down, I assumed there is no other vanishing point but the the horizontal edges of the rectangle facing you aren't parallel, so there must be a second vanishing point going a bit higher than bottom left right? pardon me if that didn't come across respectfully

I'm not OP, but I think this might be what he was trying to say...

Using traditional media, you generally had to get everything sorted out in pencil before moving on to blocking in with ink, since there was no easy way to erase ink. The standard workflow reflects that, with lots of effort being put into lineart which won't actually show in the final piece.
With digital tools, we can easily shift things around at any stage, so we might as well jump from the most basic sketch to the final stage and then just figure out any errors as we go along, pushing the blocks of colour around the image to define shapes rather than using lines to do so.
