In most other countries "left politics" means not working for starvation wages and universal healthcare. Not that SJW shit doesn't exist, but America is ground zero for this shit.

It's identity politics, and it's at home in capitalism, where it allows corporations to virtue signal and target market (which is why it makes such sterile art).

It makes for sterile art because it's based off of moral posturing and calculated marketing instead of an undiluted vision.

Not sure of your point in linking to Russian socialist realism, but I do find many similarities between the 'art' approved by the Stalinist regime and Marvel movies. Both have idealized, heroic figures defending the nationalist status quo.

A genuine socialist art can be better found in the British Arts and Crafts Movement, reflecting the artisanship of the working class in the face of increasing industrialization.

Nope, idk what you’re referring to. I personally don’t like how comics are colored and prefer B&W, I was just pointing out that there are plenty of American artists who know how to draw at a high level and it’s retarded to assume a beginner could draw better than them.

I hate how the comic shops in my local area are nearly filled with American comics, and hardly anything else.
Theyre everywhere to the point of saturarion. All of the styles blend in together too, and if you dont like that, you have Naruto, Pokemon or Bleach hogging up the shelves instead. Theres practically nothing else.
Anytime I check out what sells out in Europe, there's a much more interesting variety of graphic novels to choose from.
I dont even like any of the Marvel or DC shit but anytime I ask for something different that originates from Europe, people in the shops just look at me in confusion or secretely start judging me as if Im some kind of bloody heretic.
And Im being polite too: all I ask is for something from Europe to read from and everytime I do, they just say "Oh, if you like something from there, just tell us and we`ll order it for you :)"
Its like, you guys are missing the whole point. Your only promoting two companies at the expense of others ,all because you truly dont really care about comic artists because you dont want to encourage other comic artists to break in. Assholes just like the monopoly on the industry because its easy money for them. And their fanbases have no problem with it either. Its really degrading for someone who knows others feel like they cant do anything else but superhero shit because America dictates whats a comic book or not.
Real sensible.

>Why can't Americans just not fuck up everything they touch?
I am going to mention something kind of funny as a second generation Euro in America. The art that usually looks like shit is from the Tumblr/LGBT crowd. They were always taught that there is no universalism in beauty and that everything is good so as long as it does not conform to what one is considered normal and universal beauty.
>Is there some kind of disease that only exists in America that makes everything you touch turn to shit?
Yes on one end of the stick you have hyper moralists who like to co-opt things in the name of good and fuck everything up. Comics industry is centralized due to huge amounts of hyper regulations and also because the teachers no longer teach good art but instead the cookie cutter CalArts that everyone in the West uses. Then on the other you have the types who obviously hate it but fall victim to drama and hyper puritanism or other stupid things and nothing gets resolved. Its sad we DO have talented people in America but the whole issue is they are not talented in other areas like running a business, dealing with people, PR etc. So it just fucks itself into the ground.

That's partially false. I would say Japanese like the 1980's America and also the old America that had Mickey Mouse and various other Warner Brother/Disney stuff even the waitress's and Diner Bars are notoriously American as is the whole Cowboys and Indians thing. Even Thundercats and a few others were solid for it's time. When America is great it can rival the world, when its shit, it makes itself look like a 3rd world country with its low standards that keep becoming worse over time and lacks an identity due to not focusing on beauty but pandering to the lowest denominator which is what is going on now.

>I hate how the comic shops in my local area are nearly filled with American comics, and hardly anything else.
I can agree there needs to be competition in order to wake America up but due to the regulations and centralization that becomes difficult.
>Theyre everywhere to the point of saturarion. All of the styles blend in together too,
That's what happens with centralization, one long nosed editor can decide what art can be approved or disapproved rather than having freedom of choice.
>you have Naruto, Pokemon or Bleach hogging up the shelves instead. Theres practically nothing else.
They only pick the popular stuff of course. Nothing obscure or niche.
>Your only promoting two companies at the expense of others ,all because you truly dont really care about comic artists because you dont want to encourage other comic artists to break in. Assholes just like the monopoly on the industry because its easy money for them.
Well that and they are bought and sold 20X over by the same two companies thanks to regulations and being unable to have anyone break in.
>And their fanbases have no problem with it either. Its really degrading for someone who knows others feel like they cant do anything else
Well if there is an app or a subscription service or a site that can sell Euro comics it would be a nice start. The only places i do think that might have different styled comics from Europe last i checked was libraries that are on the higher end.
