How do you create a unique political aesthetic?
Every important and successful political phenomenon had a particular and original "style" . How do you come up with a new aesthetic, style of propaganda etc.? Any original ideas for a new artistic political current?

The method that's ended up creating politicized aesthetics like constructivism and futurism has been to branch out into theory and conceptual art rather than just rely on pure aesthetic mastery, that's where you get things like the works of Malevich or Mayakovsky - even socialist realism relies on an ideological methodology despite relying on more traditional aesthetics.

Basically, underline an ideological framework and method, and then build an aesthetic system on top of it.

Basically what >>4555725 said. Political art is built upon the ideology; Nazi art focused on the ideal, (exclusively) German future they wanted to build towards, and so their art showed only the greatest of Aryans and how ideal they were, Socialist Realism was about the masses working together to create a Communist Utopia, and so their art was of the masses striving forwards, either in revolution or war, to destroy an enemy, or in times of peace, working in collective farms and factories for the good of the nation, Imperial Japanse art was about how Japan was destined to take over Asia, and so their art was about the Supreme Japanese people literally just fucking taking everything, and so on and so on.

What >>4555725 said. I would add that a revolutionary aesthetic should reflect a revolutionary ideology. Never understood the twitter tankies who love socialist realism, which is a reactionary aesthetic akin to nazi art. The early Russian designers and futurists like Lissitzky and Rodchenko better reflect the ideals of the revolution, which meant a clear break with the past.

All these drawings are made by commercial illustrators. Pushing an ideology is like selling a product. You empathize how great it is with striking shapes and a strong color contrast.

The use of the color red is an interesting one. It was powerful and positive for Communism, but negative and dangerous in Nazism and Fascism.
