You can be a hardcore Christian and still do well in the industry, look at Doug TenNapel. The problem with Butch Hartman is he just stopped making things that made a profit. Fairly Oddparents went on WAY too long and dropped massively in quality, no one cared about T.U.F.F. Puppy, and people cared even less about Bunsen Is a Beast (I forgot about it entirely until I looked it up; I knew he did something else).

Like yeah he's religious and that rubs some people the wrong way, but that doesn't get you blocked from the entire business, especially since he's otherwise a nice guy. He hasn't been able to get a new project greenlit because his most recent ones weren't successes. It ultimately comes down, as it always does, to money.
