Has this book been translated? If not I want to try my hand at translating it, maybe it's a bit presumptuous but I've had little experience in translating some doujin, and I thought "why not try something different"? Also, maybe this I should ask this in stupid question thread, but does anyone have tutorial for using Adobe InDesign? I need it to place the texts, I heard it's much better for doing this kind of thing. I've been using PS for editing doujin, but that'd be pain in the ass for placing bunch of texts.

Most of pages I first trace over all the page analyzing how he draws and uses lines and also trying to understand it in 3d. Then i copy it by the method he provides or by just copying the lines sometimes . Pin2d on YouTube explains really well how you should copy anime. I also sometimes try to draw his drawing from memory but fail badly. I check how i fucked up and maybe copy/draw from memory again. Just try everything

Not really. It's a cyberpunk police state dystopia pushed to satirical levels. Plenty of Americans have thought up similar scenarios, it's just that Dredd puts the primary focus on the police state aspect by making a cop the main character. It's definitely a great comic and was/is very influential, though.

Any manga book recommendations to buy physically? I wanna get pic related but not for 23 USD from Amazon. I tried searching for it on eBay but couldn't find it. So any other genuinely good weeb books to get?

I was more interested in the physical copy because I want to start drawing trad again and have a book next to me, then when I get my ipad too. I'll just display the book on phone or pad then. Enjoy this image by an artist I like. Hope to draw big healthy mouths like them some day

Thread ended before I could respond so reposting the same pic.

Artbooks of all varieties really. Video game, RPG or card settings like MtG, even films sketches, concept art and mock ups. Not necessarily cyberpunk, but sure.

Just looking for some PDF fodder to toss around a few concepts and ideas for. A lot of the works in question are single images and it takes a long while to sort thru. A PDF would give me and my players a little more ease.

Are there any good resources on how to draw animals (Horses, Wolves, Lion,etc)?

The pdf in that collection are just photos of animals, good as a reference but not when you want to draw fromsl scratch.

I honestly think the artbook threads are the only reason to even be on /ic/ at all. Everything else would be a waste of time. Though most of these how to books need you to be an intermediate-level artist or have access to some kind of supplementary class (whether online or in person) to be properly digested. You see so many beginners call Loomis' stuff "Draw the circle, then draw the owl" diagrams or whatever, but an artist with fundamentals would find the exercises logical and reasonable. I took a half semester industrial design/product sketching course before graduating school and thanks to it I can actually go through Scott Robertson's How to Draw/Render books by myself and learn a lot from it. If I hadn't it would take me double or triple the amount of time to figure out the material.

To me, Dragon's Heaven looks a lot like the work of Jean "Moebius" Giraud. I'm fairly certain it's an intentional homage.

Wizards *should* remind you of Vaughn Bodē. Ralph Bakshi based some of the characters on Bodē's underground comix. I haven't heard he himself say anything about it, but his daughter defends him, claiming that Bakshi and Bodē were good friends back in the day in New York, and that Bakshi had tacit permission to borrow them.

Additionally, if you look closely, you will see familiar-looking work in the backgrounds - particularly the scenes set in Skorch, the bad lands of the mutant wizard Blackwolf. Bakshi shanghaied famed illustrator Ian Milller and got him to create matte paintings for the film.
