Do you need good art to draw good comics?

You need art that fit the visual story telling, it needs to show the setting, characters, movement, emotion, even if it is not particulary good. See Maus for exemple, most people on /beg/ could draw better than that, but it isn'tjust about the technical skill.

Nope, but you need to know how comics work in order to make comics.

because they're not writers, they're fujos who fetishize homosexuality

>> No.4466679

>>4466661
True. I like how in that comic the writer tried hiding her fujo-ness by saying the obviously male centaur guy is "non-binary". And of course he's also effeminate and only lusts after buff dudes.

They just copy whatever is "hip" at the time (like Steven Universe in this case) without any consideration about if it looks good or not.

this is fine, though. it's understandable and clear, the text bubbles placement works, the art communicates what it needs to, the panel placement could be more organic but is more a matter of taste. nothing about this lacks function as a comic.

>Polyguns

Disregarding EVERYTHING about the comic's art itself, who in the right mind would think that's a good joke?

Nobody would call polygon-shaped objects they find on the ground as "polygons", sane people would refer them as "polygon-shaped tiles/cardboards" not fucking polygons.

The amount of webcomic protagonists who wait tables is impressive, buncha deadbeat ameridebts.
When I go out to buy stuff in my 3rd world shithole, cashiers are either women or gay men (sometimes maybe hetero but full of piercings and tattoos), I'm always astounded by it.

>> No.4467366

>>4467325
I've also noticed too many webcomics focus on wagecucks working shit jobs (usually with a self-insert main character).
Say what you will about capeshit, but at least their main characters typically aren't average losers you'd see working in stores/restaurants.

I feel like I am finally getting the feeling when women sees men portraying women that's sterilely-cute and faultless in fiction.

Real guys don't behave like that, not even when they are gay.

>> No.4467374

>>4467372
Will you make a subreddit where you post edits of this comic trying to portray this character in a more centaur-realistic way?

If not, you're not even close to seeing things as a woman.

At the contrary, good art is detrimental. It's a curse in disguise if people are attracted by the art. People will expect the level of quality to stay the same, and it will take longer to churn out pages then they will complain about the wait, get bored and read Questionnable Content instead.
