I'd be up to doing more lists in the future, but I feel like monthly is too frequent of an interval to see any significant change. Perhaps we could do progress checks/critique sessions in the thread instead. I know a lot of dads, myself included spend a lot of time focusing on their weaknesses. Your issue is perspective. Try to draw a box and align it to a focal point.

It's pretty cute and endearing.

Be careful about the muscle masses on the arms, specifically her left arm. Bend your arm in the same way and notice which muscles flex as you do it.

The motion of the bird is really good and clearly shows them coming in to land (instead of just hovering or taking off.) It might help however if the gesture of the harpy was more of a "reaching out" posture as it would show the relationship of the interaction in a more dynamic and realistic way. You could also likely make the parrot's wings even larger to help with the composition and motion.

Consider adding some leaves in the very near foreground (specifically at the top of the image) to improve the dynamism of the perspective.

As a general note you might want to try some different styles of noses on your characters. You draw them in a cute way but there's not a lot of variation and you might find some benefit in pushing yourself to experiment there.

Same. A lot of the time unsolicited crit is really unhelpful in my experience giving it and getting it. Having someone do a full redraw of a piece I had to rush for a deadline doesn't help me at all when I already knew what the issues were, and it was pointless of me to give someone a detailed crit of the rendering in someone's painting when it was still unfinished. It's best to direct efforts to help people actively asking for crit.

What you need IMO is better anatomy. Your colours and line quality are very nice and clean so don't worry about that for now.
Hamptons Figure drawing is a decent book and I highly recommend you study it (at least a bit). It should be available in the book thread.
The thing with your art is that you're influenced by cartoons without good realistic foundations. And if you don't know the shape and form of all those muscles and bones, then it's really hard to simplify them into a cartoon.

Most of my artist friends who "made it" do stylized cartoon and my inspiration folders/pinterest is filled with art like this.
I read loomis back when I started to draw seriously about a year ago and kinda went on and off about studying anatomy after that, feeling over-confident in my anatomy skills. But I've heard good things about Hampton's Figure Drawing. "Legally acquiring" the book as I write this.

I thought it would be interesting to visualize the distribution of submissions over time, since it's clear that we don't have half of submissions halfway through the day. Pic related is from 2020-03-30. Naturally most of the submissions happen in the last hour or so. Right now my process of getting data from the website and then graphing it is a bit clunky, but as I streamline it I'd like to compare the median of submission time to challenges and stuff like that.

Looking into Preston Blair's guides to constructing cartoon characters, as well as other material on cartoons like Looney Tunes and Disney could help you a lot. I personally started with material like these instead of Loomis, and I feel they can be good for developing basic construction skills.
Cartoons look best when you have a knowlege of realism to draw from too, so these shouldn't be all of your study materials, but rather something to help you improve your accuracy and confidence. Try to draw the characters in the books as accurately as possible, and use the construction methods to draw them in different poses as you get more comfortable. Doing this should hopefully give you a better grasp of these concepts, so you can later use more advanced construction methods like Loomis/Hampton if you so desire.

As long as your goal can be achieved through the chosen method there shouldn't be any bad way to use reference for studies.
Tracing can help with understanding shapes and the movements needed to create them better for example.

If you want to learn how to draw like another artist, you have to break things down and start asking very specific questions. Ban does great rendering, i would love to spend some time mimicking his style to learn how to do it myself. But he also has great anatomy, unique faces, etc. Trying to learn it all in one go, simply by copying one of his pictures line for line, wont get you anywhere. It's about understanding the artists approach, not aping the results.
