Me too friend. I've grown to really enjoy gesture drawing it's no longer just an exercise but something relaxing and you learn a lot.

I saw some good art today.

I have reached a point where if I imagine something in my head I can get it down on paper and it looks more or less like what I imagined. I started as a guy who said he could never learn to draw and didn't think I would make it this far. It's a nice feeling.

I'm legitimately happy I will die one day. I know I don't have it in me killing myself because I'm a little bitch, but when times get hard I find solace in knowing all this shit will stop one fucking day and I will fucking die. I'm so happy it will go away, I'm so happy I'm not stuck in this shit fucking life. I have a weird lump in my forearm that I'm extremely comfortable ignoring. Drawing has completely uplifted me from my depression. I've never felt better despite working tireless nights improving, I hope this feeling never goes away. Maybe I'll start feeling like socializing again.

I'm 100% into escapism now and I'm glad I have that. Too bad I was born too soon for plugging via brain wire into a virtual world, but I don't like the direction things are going so this is probably the most ideal situation I will be able to enjoy. If had someone to share this with I would be even happier.

I've started drawing this week as an absolute beginner. First time I've picked up a pencil since grade school. Mid twenties now and I'm going through "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" and "Fun With a Pencil." I fucking love it, and wish I had started sooner. I'm pretty bad, but when I look at the head of this little, frumpy cartoon dude with a big nose and receding hairline, I can only think, "Wow, I made that!" It's a good feeling.

I feel so happy drawing. I got a voice back, people give a little of a shit about what I do.

Every weekend my little niece comes over, and she knocks on my door and holds a piece of paper in her hand and a pencil, and she asks me to draw her something.

Can't even write her own name, knows all the basic forms and when I ask her "What is the basic form behind this?" she can answer it almost immediately. She will grow up knowing equestrian anatomy combined with construction methods handed down by the likes of Bammes and Hampton.

I hope so too. When she isn't running around, she sits down and draws for hours in quiet and then cuts off four little pieces of tape and puts her drawing up on the wall in my room or in the living room.

I'm not too pushy. Head doesn't sit on a neck? We will fix that one day. Unicorns are more important anyway.

She pays attention to the little things I tell her and she likes to show me when I come over that she is holding the pencil with a overhand grip and shows me she can make long sweeping lines. This is a game changing attitude for me.

I managed to push past depression and draw a bit every week, doing at least 2-3 days a week. I am starting to run out of paper but I’m falling in love with ink. Drawing is very fun, but works best when I keep my ego and expectations low.

I finished a drawing for the first time since elementary school. There's clearly many areas to improve in, but I am full of determination and I am excited to draw more.

I'm gaining followers like mad, I'm followed by the majority of my idols and a shit ton of people bigger than me.
Finally opened commissions too, in a week I did several across multiple clients. Never even publically announced that I am open, they all came to me (some have been waiting for months to be fair)
Made a cool $200 dollars so far and met some really chill clients too. Eager to learn animation soon, so I have something else I can make money off of.
Things are looking up, small beginnings but I'm finally on that road.
Believe in urself guys, use your brains and be cool and u will succeed. Eventually I will have a patreon and be making like half of what sakimi makes, believe it. We can do it
