I just went on Instagram and clicked on the tag "drawing".
3 very amateurish drawings popped up among them.
They all have endearing qualities and could already be used to tell a story, to find an audience and to appeal to people not because of its technical skill, but because it's aesthetically charming.

Ironically, third one is the best one on a technical level and the least appealing in my opinion, but that goes to show the dynamic between objective improvement and keeping your graphic standards high so they don't lag behind. Some phase shifts are inevitable, though.
