Interesting results. I feel like the line vs painterly axis isnt very accurate. I think realistic paintings correlate with a less painterly style. The marriage of those two is my ultimate art goal. If I were to place myself, the realism axis is accurate, but I lean towards a painterly style.

The test doesn't really reflect my taste in art. I mean I really preffer linear over painted BUT I don't like abstract that much. Perhaps its because I am a furry that the humanoid drawings appealed me more than the boring daily life landscapes.

i like cute anime grills as much as any other anon, but when i see anything abstract and smudged next to a realistic painting that obviously took more skill, im going to choose the latter.

i have no clue how any of the abstract paintings shown make the case for abstract art, aside from hitting feelings of the books we read as children.

Top center = Vermeer, Zorn.
Top left = Bouguerau, Liotard, etc. Hyperrealism too.
Middle left = Mucha, symbolists
Bottom left = Dali, Parkes.
Bottom center = some illustrators (Arthur Rackham), some fauvists (Matisse)
Bottom right = Munch, expressionists, some fauvists
Middle right = some modernists (Vrubel, Odilon Redon), some illustrators (Craig Mullins)
