I'd say the worst part is it's almost never an original idea, it's 99% of the time someone seeing something equally pointless and thinking "gee that made me feel something, that's cool." So they go for their own attempt and NORMALLY just let it lie where it belongs in /x/. This guy however had to dedicate a thread on a critique board to his post, so here I go critiquing.

The expression "art is everywhere" isn't to be taken literally, anon. You can't just rehash the same mysterious broken text meme on an unintelligible image and expect people to be moved. Consider so tact, put some real effort into driving the sensation of weary curiosity, or realization of the scale of what we don't know, or whatever the fuck you're going for. You can get away with this shit if you've got some real writing to support it, or a real piece of art, but without either element, it just looks lazy.

See these at least have some semblance of purpose or soul, even if it's a bit obvious it's just overlaid images with some smearing, or a completed piece painted over. Would be interesting to see something like this painted/drawn as opposed to modified. That said, some consistency or link in the characters of focus would help relate it to a more specific idea. An anime girl and a 3D girl without any other context make it hard to draw connections, which makes it difficult to get a footing on the intended mood, sensation, or idea you're trying to lead people to hypothesize.
