Yea of course, but he went from 0 highlights/shadows to cell shaded highlights and shadows, its not much of an improvement but its still something. Also his linework isn't bad for "1 month"

With stopping symbol drawing you should be drawing from life. Anime or cartoons are symbol. What he did was waste his time and it’s obvious when you look at his work from ‘imagination’ (which he used reference for but it’s still bad.)

All I can tell is how his mastery of the stylus got better with some nice curve he made here and there but he doesn't even have pen pressure on for linework so that's all I can judge
