Because this is specifically targeted at people who hate Ruan Jia to post stuff that THEY like. I'm not looking for inspiring art, I'm looking to see what the naysayers like.

Also, like I said, most interested in narrative illustration stuff. Not because I care about it, but I want to see what people consider a good painting. Everyone's always shitting on everything, I'd like to see what everyone agrees is good.

Here's to hoping this thread doesn't devolve into cancer though.

I never make threads expecting them to be successful. I always just hope for a handful of thoughtful, genuine responses to be peppered in the shit-heap somewhere, and that's the best I can hope for.

These paintings capture a moment. There is a sense of before and after. If all you care about is shape design and brushwork then go paint portraits and clothing design. Every time I see you post you get the same crit and throw the same temper tantrum.

I don't care about Instagram. I never would have made one if not for the fact that someone was stealing my art on Instagram. It's a handy little place to host a blog of the stuff I post to /ic/ for the occasional anon who wants to see more of my work. That's its sole purpose. I don't actively visit Instagram to get inspired, or to be a part of the community. It's just for you guys. I have an Artstation for when I want to browse art on a platform I actually agree with.
