It's pretty easy to make gradients, yeah. Clip Studio can convert values to half tones as an effect or you can do it directly by using a half tone brush from the start.

Focus on the form, and simplify the colors and shading, it kind of just blends all together visually. Do you have just the line-art of this? Take a quick look at their Midna b/w poses, extreme angle views which both like to do as well, especially TheBoogie, and general clean linework. Some further critique points: her right hand (viewer's right, her technical left) could be rendered better, the fingers need work, draw in the nails subtley, and softly, the ends of her fingers show more like monster claws, than delicate fingers, also, they should be angled closer to her "member's" base of the shaft, as well as rendering and adding more linework detail in, basic line crease of the finger joints underneath, side and top, you'll have to experiment with that. Also, rendering the "member" in more, if she is circumcised, there would be more detail behind the top of head, as well as a slight gap, and inward, downward, subtle dip, and of shallow folds and wrinkles of skin behind that, as well as some subtle (very subtle), few, and humble veins, and maybe even a small, subtle, soft hole for the urethra opening, as it's a little jarring as is. The lower "sac" gets chicken scratchy at the bottom and unreadable, clean that up, and just make it rounded connecting the whole "sac" as one, giving it a smooth, curved, and bulbous appearance. Her left hand (viewer's left, which would be her technical right) thumb should be corrected, as the thumb is way too high, and at the angle of the hand, should be more partially covered by the foreshortening of the hand before it and pointing down lower, also, her her wrist should be pointing closer to her body, more than away. She is missing just the part of her right shoulder, (viewer right, technical left). As well decreasing a lot the size of her shoulder on the left and the upper arm, and moving the shoulder inward, (viewer left, technical right). Also, render in her stone helmet, the soft lines and curves read more like flesh or plastic that stone.

Depends on what you want to replicate for painting, honestly your better than me for just basic values and light, any examples of what you would like to accomplish with comparable work? Also, hands are pretty straight forward once you do a few self-studies. Only thing I would crit is the right hand (viewer right, technical left), the thumb is poorly rendered, the back fingers should be showing out more prominently, they wouldn't be going back to such an angle, unless she's death gripping the bow, compare her left and right hand, (viewer), there's even a noticeable size different. Try gripping an item and just experiment with the shape. Also, try adding nails in, it gives it a better rendered view, especially on that thumb. Other than that, it honestly is VERY passable, and for the norms, they'll eat it up. Nice job as far as it is. I would say, to challenge yourself, try making an actual background and not just a blurred out generic one.

Study irl anatomy first and foremost. Unless you like a certain generic style, like Kemono, or something. But don't get stuck on the loop of studying other artists. You are NOT going to learn much of anything, if you actually learn anything at all. Learn what you are drawing, best way is irl, go to the source, not the second hand, or even bottom of the barrel source, go to the best, draw real people from real sources. All extreme POV's are closeups of sections of the body, learn the natural human form first and foremost. Wait on color, and values, just stick to the basic bread and butter, bare bones of draftsmanship and building your internal mental library of human anatomy.

It reads more like Midna's head stuck on a normal body, or that she isn't even a shortstack anymore. Her head in design, is massively big, like for reference, Jimmy Neutron level head proportion. I would just take the selection tool, and use the transform function to increase the size of the head to be much larger. Also, do the same with her foot, but decrease the size. Her hand is way too huge, unless I am reading that wrong visually, as it's hard to tell, but I would say decrease her hand size. Post a b/w image of it, if you have that available as a layer.

As for Japanese and actual professional Hentai artists, (not indie), have used and just drawn over real people and 3D models, and just spiced it up to cover their tracks. I suggest, learning the actual way to draw, so you can be a lot more free to draw what you want, when you want, how you want it. Rather than endlessly relying on pre-found images to draw over. As for angles, extreme perspectives, and what not, go on /s/ and find some solo females, just browse until you find relatable and comparable images, they are there, just nab and save, and then begin studying them. Or just googling it honestly. /s/ has some great, and sometimes high quality image dumps that are great for study source material and inspiration, although 99% of the board is fap-crap.

I used to draw a lot like you. I used ultra-thick lineart because I felt I couldn't get a smooth outline with a thinner brush. When you focus on making every line the perfect weight/shape, you often end up feeling like your sketches look more alive than your final lineart. That's because you lost the energy that was in those messier strokes. See the picture I've attached for an example of lineart which is very messy but extremely energetic as well. I would recommend trying to capture that feeling more in your art. Force: Dynamic Life Drawing is a great book about this. Also try to learn more about making your drawing feel more 3-dimensional.

You have a lot of room for improvement, but if you put in the work and are very patient I've no doubt you can achieve things well beyond what you think you're capable of.

sorry if my post implied that using thick lines is inherently bad -- it's not. I think the core of the issue here is that simplified styles like the original usually don't look very good with anything other than an eye-level or bust-level POV. Maybe look at Genndy Tartakovsky stuff if you're interested in pursuing that look. It's also totally fine to prefer cleaner lineart, but it can really help your drawings to feel more expressive if you try to incorporate some of that sweeping sketchy feel.

Here's the final one!
Aside from my whole critique on the head construction, another thing I noticed is that you were likely drawing Peach from memory. If there's anything I've learned when drawing characters off model is that you need to keep the general hair shape and facial features the same. For example, peach doesn't have a cupids bow on her lips and has specific hair that parts above her ears with prominent sideburns. Her eyes are round with distinguished lashes. You need to keep these things in mind when doing fan art. Keep a reference pulled up at a similar angle to what your drawing so you can nail these aspects.
Scott Eaton has a course on facial anatomy. You should check it out, as well as anyone reading this that has problems with facial construction.

It's looks great, only thing that I would say is work on rendering her tail and back some more, maybe adding some subtle slight musculature on the back, as well as the frills on her back, and some added detail to her tail. The frills aren't rendered in a way like they don't look like they quite belong. Other than that, great job, keep up the good work. Firstly, draw her nude, and show where your anatomical problems lie, as it's apparent there are a lot (not trying to discourage or dis you), and work on improving from there. As this is a very toony piece, the composition and quickly easily read form is paramount and needs work, it is hard to read sometimes what is what. Too many severe and random sharp points and sharp turns on the forms. You can do sharp turns and sharps end points on heavy line-art stylization, but, the inner form needs to be softer, as she is a cloth/scare-crow being, so, it she should be softer in design as well as her clothes. The color palette is fighting with one another making it hard to focus on any one thing, as it's mainly monochromatic and the colors are too close to one another on the design spectrum, noticeably the upper half background reads visually as a mess. The upper part of the piece is fighting for visual dominance over the lower half. It constantly forces the viewer's gaze down. Which it shouldn't, as it's intended design is to be a full piece figure. It leads directly to the poorly rendered lower section of the body, groin which doesn't read at all as it's so small and the boots leading to feet dominate the lower picture with harsh, sharp edges of the boots. She has no right (technical left) knee cap, although on the other side she does. As well as the poor anatomical rendering of the "members" and her hands, and her arms. It reads rather sloppy in terms of composition and form, and color. I amend you for adding the background in, but it is very symbolic drawing. Which isn't bad in itself, but it doesn't match the style and more detailed and thought out figure and the complexity there within. For the background, double or even triple the monochromatic value scales, I see 5, I would add in 10, to 15, or even 20, changes in the basic values, just to experiment.

I could circle much more, but it would be a bit overwhelming. Notice the boot-lace design, and how flat and poorly rendered it is, as well as the boots, and aspects of the clothes. From your other b/w poses it shows you understand what is going on well enough anatomically. But I'd say this piece is very poor in comparison to what you can achieve with your current skill set as you've presented. I think you may have rushed this. Slow down, as even the line quality in areas varies, especially with the "members'. The "members" could even be rendered better, it's all very symbolic drawing and flat form-wise. Use reference when drawing those clothes too, especially those boots, they really stand out as the problem center piece. Again, I think you may have just rushed through the line art phase and jumped straight into the next stage of rendering.

Much better, and much softer. Especially the bottom right one where she is standing. These are actually much stronger than your original finished piece, pose, form and gesture wise. I'd say redraw another image of her and expand from the original piece, with a more dynamic pose, take your time. Also, expand those backgrounds too. If I am having trouble with clothed figures, I find it helpful to draw the figure nude first, and then to add clothes if I am having a difficult time of it, it also helps with experimentation, which is key to seeing what works and what doesn't for future pieces, as well as using reference for clothing and items I do not understand or have memorized in my internal visual library.

He thighs are massive compared to the rest of her body, especially length wise, notice when compared to the arms, roughly speaking, the length of the arms and legs are about the same in humans, that's also including each segment, but the forearm can be longer than the upper arm, and the thighs can be longer than the lower leg, but again, as a general rule of thumb, in total, they are about the same length. Her neck is really, really small, as well as her head, her head could be expanded just a bit, as well as the top and back of her head, adding even the flow of hair up to the knot from the back to show the implied cranium of the back of the head would help, also, notice how small the head is compared to the main portion of the torso. I would suggest expanding the image downward and finishing the lower legs and feet too for a full pose. Other than that, it is very solid, and you can fly by on it honestly just as is, just tweak a few things and you'll be good.

The pose, and composition is flat, and uninteresting, though the form of at least the female is interesting. The hard 90 degree right angle of the image really just cuts into the piece. Create a more dynamic pose from a different angle as well. The monster design is poor, and could be designed much better. The monster's eye should not be that big, and there is a lot of symbolic drawing a design aspects taken for granted in the monster. The frills read more like Sonic's frills, rather than an actual lizardarian sail, think o a Spinosaurus, or the back frills of an adult iguana. Which are usually thicker, and blubous and chunky to a degree, compared to the paper thin protrusions as it. The neck of the monster should be pushed back more to meet the back of the torso, think of just the image of the human spin. The neck does not come from out of the middle of the torso, but from the back section of it, remember, the ribcage expands out from the spine, being that the spine is the entire backbone structure of the body. Also the hands/talons, poorly rendered, lizards and avians have very weird but to an extent similar, long, thin digits, with huge knuckles, but again, this varies with the reptile and avian. The talons/claws are massive, as well as missing digits, and it reads more like an inflated bear claw, reptile hybrid. The digits and hand should be much longer, unless your taking artistic liberties and making a human/lizardarian/avian hybrid hand, even then, you have to get creative, maybe this creature has actual nails which end in huge curved claws, or they come out of the skin as bone line lizards and avians, and then design from there using irl references and artistic liberties and creativity. The same goes for his foot talons, it's very heavily symbolic drawing, use references heavily to learn and understand what you are trying to convey. The legs are digi-grade, but are poorly proportioned and rendered.

The creatures face needs a lot of work, again, this is where creativity and liberties come into play, and again, it's very heavy symbol drawing. Use a t-rex skull as reference, or another predatory lizard, you will find that modern day lizards heads are not what you expect depending on the skull, a komodo dragon skull vs. a crocodile skull (there is a big difference in the skull shape and evolutionary design between the crocodile and alligator) vs an alligator skull vs. the various monitor lizard skulls vs. snakes vs. alligator snapping turtles, etc. Look towards the horned and frilled lizard on Google which will help, as the protrude out of the skin, as sometimes actual thorn/horn-like protrusions, and see the protrusion and where they appear, as well as the eye placement and size with regards to the rest of the size of the skull. Notice lizard skin too, which the huge chunks do not read very well design wise on the piece. The female's mouth really is off putting, when looking at someone from the side, their mouth doesn't open up like a snake or dog, just the lips slightly open, not the hole face, hence why we have such small mouths compared to all other animals. Also, where her nose meets the upper lip, and her lower jaw, look to anatomical skulls and see that they are not that severe. Also, move the image up from the bottom border of the canvas, it cuts off and reads very poorly as composition.

Honestly I'd say you're good enough to continue as you have a decent grasp on anatomy, and it's easy to read the form and design well enough. I'd say just create a b/w piece with a dynamic pose, or multiple poses finished and inked (can be scratchy) as long as it's easy to read. So far good job, show off some more dynamic poses or a simple rendered image. Solid work so far. Just need to show you can go on to the next phase of rendering.

Pokemon designs are very weird. They do not function normally either in their design or when animated. The creature reads more like a reptilian monster than inspired by pokemon, other than the big eye. Skip trying to copy pokemon designs and go straight to the source, real animals. Copying somewhat flawed but popular symbolic designs aren't going to go far if at all. It's just copying symbol drawing with the added layer of more symbol drawing. Also, pokemon are easily broken down into simple shapes, that feraligatr is essentially a bunch of spheres, a giant bean shape and cylinders. Again, I'd say just go to the source of real animals and design your own.

So, I redlined it, I think I may have been wrong about the thigh at first glance, maybe because it read as a lot bigger and thicker since it was bordered with the bottom of the canvas, so, I drew the original thighs and the new slightly smaller thighs with the drawn lower body along with a stack of her head as measurement to 7.5 heads. I think it's the head size that is throwing it off now looking at it again and working through it. But somethings off that's cascading the effect, I can't point it down though. I wanna say the head, as when I readlined it, and just did basic outlines of the head, it was small compared to other comparable measurements of the body. Honestly it kinda has me stumped.

Looks pretty solid, but I would reccomend not shading in black for colored pieces. For example, Mac's skin tone looks much darker than before, and the black just overall clashes with the bright, cartoony colors.
The rendering itself is fine (it follows the shapes believably), but it would look even better if you learned/applied color theory to it. I would only recommend shading in black if your plan on a monochrome piece, or if you want to shade a sketch/lineart.
