Popular print media/commercial illustrator has seemingly vanished from the internet. All instances of social media appear defunct/deleted and his personal website is offline. Dude was one of my favourite artists after Tomer Hanuka, but it's almost as if he died or something. Whatever happened to Frank Stockton?

Same op, his site was such a gem of art advice and industry advice! Anyway I know for sure he's still working. He's probably comfortable freelancing and has established clients.

I also have a folder of his worked saved so when you finish dumping I'll see if I have anything you don't but I doubt it.

Well shit, didn't expect to find another fan of his on here.
I'm just confused because he seems to have been fairly prolific with multiple interviews with him being published all the way up until 2013, and then it just stops. I'd love to see more of his recent work. If he is still active it's a shame he's no longer public. Love to see what you have to share though.

Sorry to disappoint I only have even older work and I think the last thing I saved was 2014. I remember seeing his work flipping through a magazine but I can't recall how long ago that was. I shouldn't have said he's still working for sure, I just think he is. There's a lot to speculate but I don't want to believe anything bad happened to him.

It's pretty normal for people's interests to change overtime. Doesn't bother me when people switch to abstract/modernism except when they get that elitist "I'm better than you" attitude about it. Which is about half of the abstract artists I know. It's just strange to me when people grow a hate boner for things that they did and enjoyed for a long time. I agree. It's entirely possible that he just got burnt out on illustration rather than turning against it.
On the flip side, I know someone who had the opposite epiphany. Got sick of doing work that the university scene likes to see and is now a professional stop motion and computer animator. Good on her because so many of the professors at our school were pushy about turning students away from animation, unless the end product was conceptual in nature.
