MANY copyright lawyers have been over this time and time again, just because they haven't gone after people yet does not mean they can't. In some cases they might just send a cease and desist but they could sue you for every dollar you made and add on punitive damages as well as court costs.

I honestly have no idea. Probably there to spam porn sites or stalk potential users for a porn site. I never get these bots on my sfw account, but they come in flocks on my nsfw one. Once in a while I lose 100 followers in bulk, which means twitter eliminates these bots in chunks how it can.

The work must be transformative and differentiate from the original work. And only then you have rights to even make money off your own work.
Porn or nsfw alterations of existing and copyrighted IPs is protected by the parody law as long as you're not stealing or using assets from the work you're referencing.
Also, the main loophole with most nsfw artist like sakimi is that they do not get paid to put out artwork, they get donations and the work is requested by a community.
Commissions, as far as i know, are also protected/ you can't be sued if someone pays you to draw someone or something from a protected IP (strictly) for private use.
And you can post that piece online and nobody can sue you as long as that piece isn't generating revenue, being distributed as official or used in any other creative work.

If your artwork doesn't break any of these things and the original holders want to sue you or intimidate you with cease and desist letters, you should get a lawyer asap to "threaten" with legal consequences and eventually sue back if they still insist or in the second case, you can ignore them since they have no right over your own work.
Always make sure not to copy the work or make it 100% accurate as the original.
Even making bigger tits on an existing IP already doesn't count as copyright infringement.
Tracing is a copyright infringement, though.

To be Infringement you also need to be competing in the same market. Disney doesnt really sell prints so you can sell prints all day and probably be fine. But once you start selling toys then you are infringing. But honestly, the big companies dont care enough to sue you proper. Some people get kicked out of cons for infringing and just come back next year under a different name.

The license to sell merch is worth money, if you pump out merch that they haven't made yet they could argue it hurts their bargaining power when trying to sell a license to other companies who could make that merch.

It is a grey area as that person doesn't just want a picture of Darth Vader, he wants a picture of Darth Vader by a certain artist in their own style.
Still the artist could get sued and most likely lose, the reason it does not happen is because it would be too difficult to prove damages on 1 piece being sold so the payout would not be worth it.
Besides they could just send a DMCA or Trademark takedown to the website host.
