You thought about the form of the tree when texturing it. Cool.

Two things will drastically improve your work if you study them:
>Lighting
>Perspective

Truth is man, there's a weird soap opera effect to your lighting where the light source is the viewer's eye. You're not really shading anything with true lighting in mind. Value studies needed.

And perspective, well, there's a lot of imitation of 3D in this drawing, but the depth is as flat as the paper you used.

You will skyrocket with improvement if you focus on value and perspective. (Value / lighting)

Basically its just that your characters are shaded and detailed while everything else is flat and has very minimal shading. They just look like blobs and they don't compliment each other. Add more depth and shading to the rail and floor and possibly improve the water if you can but it looks like its just a photo you put over it so idk if you can.

There's an extremely fine balance between realistic rendering and cartoon rendering. You must know how anime backgrounds have a painterly look, while the characters have clear outlines. You tried it, but it didn't work, it's kinda jarring. You gotta make the background a little bit more cartoony. But don't mistake cartoony for just defying all rules of perspective and lighting -- you're on the right track as is, don't drop all that.

Thank you for taking the time to critique it. I will keep your Input in mind when i paint the next time! I am only 2 years into this whole 'taking Art serious' journey and there is so much to learn, so its nice to hear that i am somewhat on the right track.

Super comfy, the colors are wonderful. Really like the painterly clouds and how they contrast with the more flat-colored house, it makes your piece more interesting to look at.

I saw the Adam and Eve work you did a while ago, I love how you go in and do so many intricate lines, I really wish you would at least try with colors. Your stuff still puts off a neat look, like old technical drawings.
