What if the crab meme is just cope and I actually suck at art? What if I'm suffering from the Dunning-Kreuger effect and I'll only know if someone else tells me?

I feel you anon. I wonder the same shit myself a lot of the time. Ultimately, I think it helps to not put too much value in what anons say, and instead look for critique from people you know you can trust.
Ultimately you can never have a perfectly clear view on your own art because you're gonna be heavily clouded by bias. But if you're already working to improve regularly, what good would it be to know that you suck? I feel sometimes you gotta stop worrying about where you are, and just concern yourself with moving forward.
