Is there a translated version of this book. It's called "Suspicious Anatomical Illustration" and it's an internal guidebook that Capcom used for Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Marvel, etc. in the 90s.

To be honest, I actually do own a lot of physical artbooks. A six foot shelf full. Still only a fraction compared to the digital ones I've pirated but yeah.

I think it has an official strategybook, around 350 pages with a bit of the usual art here and there, but mostly just 3d renders of the maps and how to beat them effectively. Another one that I know of is the tarot book, which has all jobs as artwork, but you gotta google on how to find it.

Those old games usually don't have art books, but the artwork is from old magazines, posters, or small guide books that got scanned.

I have this book, I'll try to scan it sometimes.

What I may end up doing from now on is buying two books... one for my own library, and one to rip apart, destroy and scan.

Unfortunately some of these "Golden Era of Illustration" books are so fucking rare I only have one copy, and those I don't feel like destroying. Photographing them would take too long I should hire some paki to do it for me.

Having said that, I really like Leyendecker's approach. It would be good for /beg/ because while it's simplified it is not exaggerated in any way. The anatomy is not too detailed and his painting has fundies without needless flair.

/ic/ will always beg for books they don't have even if the books are rate shit tier. I have bought a handful of desired books and they turned out to be shovelware. I didn't even bother destroying them and scanning them I just tossed them out.

Leyendecker was one of the last artists trained by the old french academic system before that fell apart. His work has good draftsmanship, good painting, good everything. Worthy of doing studies.

Pretty good, I got all the files from Heritage Auctions as well, I only asked because people were constantly asking for the book and then no one asked anymore leading me to believe it was finally scanned.

Norman Rockwell copied Leyendecker's style and became That Famous Guy Who Painted All The Saturday Evening Post Covers - taking Leyendecker's job and edging him out. He's a model sculptor and concept artist who's best known for designing the God Warrior that appeared in the short directed by Hideaki Anno at the Ghibli Museum a couple years ago. I also recall reading somewhere that he's doing design work for Anno's forthcoming Shin Ultraman film as well so he's pretty well embedded in the tokusatsu scene, if you will. Tldr: Translate 1 high quality page at a time using Yandex image translate.

Google translate phone app can translate images using the camera. you can also take images from your phone gallery or google drive as pointing the camera at a monitor is pretty crap.
(For some stupid fucking reason the website doesn't do this and my phone wont translate images, not sure about android emulator for pc.)

Yandex can translate images really quickly but you have to do it 1 page at a time, upload the image then drag and highlight text to translate, can be set to translate by lines or blocks of text. (site owned by Russian commies)
