Hello guys, I have the following problem, I’ll try to maximally briefly and informally talk about it, I understand that the answer can be on the Internet, but it’s important for me to ask you. I CAN’T TEACH WHAT I DO NOT LIKE. I tried many different hobbies in my life, in the end I decided and I am 100% sure what I want to draw. I do not have much experience in this (I graduated from art school as a child), but I have a wild desire to do this, but here it is. As much as I undertake to study books and practice books, I literally in just a few seconds can no longer find the courage to continue, I can not concentrate, the knowledge is not acquired at all. I am sure that I like it and I want it and I try it, but why it is so difficult for me, I just need an hour to go to the material page, and then I can forget it and then. I apologize for my English. I really want to hear your advice, your stories.

What's your method of learning? Just straight up opening the artbook and doing studies of that?

It's not a tread about fetishes, it's another crybaby's tread and I really need help here.

Forget about books. You (may) not need them. Different people learn differently. You sound like a total faggot though.

No. I reading a lot of guides, look at references with structure etc. But main method is reading a books, what's the most effective way, but not for me, because I just can't read and understand books right now. Same with practice.

I mean I really made a lot of progress but books can give me all ifromation I need from begin to the end. Yes I know I talking like fagg now, you would not believe I'm 2m tall and some kind of metal machine. I can easily do most of thing, except I lost my concentration and ability to understand books. And that really disappointing me.

I was in the same bag as you- still am, can't really stomach raw books for hours at a time.
I just start a finished piece, complete it (even if it takes days, whatever). In the process of completing it I'll still inevitably encounter shit I can't understand or replicate well even with refs and that's when I'll pop open the Loomis book or the chink video that'll clearly explain me what to do.
It's a much more involved way to use artbooks and resources as you don't get into it blindly, you have a purpose, incentive to check out how the fuck some old man's hips are constructed because if you're anything like me you'll still really want to finish that one drawing even though you know it'll likely look quite bad when it's finished. And when it is finished you'll remember more clearly how you did that part you blocked on, maybe do a couple studies on the side to be sure to remember, and get mileage out of that. I suggest you try that method. There'll inevitably be resistance involved at the start but you gotta power through it until it becomes a habit.

This
Sometimes books are not needed or are just a complement. With drawing, a lot of of the time is about practice by understanding the form.

Do what I do. Struggle with a thing, give up and learn about the thing, then practice the thing, and then you're good.
I can't follow a how-to book/video from front to back and feel like I learned more than a couple random things, but if I notice I'm particularly weak on a specific subject I'll work on it for a while and look up what I need to know from my collections.

Thanks toy guys for your answers, it really helps. I will try to read books again, if it will be uslraa, I'll just keep practicing. Anyway it would be cool to listen other stories and recommendations

I already build up a habit to drown like I already did with gym or etc. But the problem is I feel like I have not enough theory behind it, and trying to fill this spaces with books, but it really useless.

And okay guys. How you fight when you don't want to practice? How you forcing yourselves? Especially I have this problem because I am a student, and always at least one man always in my room (roommate). He is very passive dude, but even his existence stopping me, even given that he is a creative side too (3d designer).
