Autoreiv has potential. It was a nice comp. Needs work but very good for a study. Koki today did a very cool bikini girl. I'd like to see more volume in his forms from him. Engeeeml did a cool hand study, but for now needs to forget about color and go back to solid form studies. Paganini did a cutie blue furry. Very nice, but she needs to put her subjects on the ground so they don't appear to be floating at closer inspection. Shadows and light direction might help. Vovi, I don't know much about hamptom but don't be afraid to complete the circle all around the form (arms, legs, torso). Doing so will make you see the figure in 3D, right now you are contouring. Alarios, you have good form, but please work longer on the lower values of color before jumping into highlights. The brushstrokes get lack integration. Nice choosing of photo tho. I liked the dress in Meru and it was very cute. Would like to see the legs though, or their form suggested. Tang's mountains were very cool. Liked the brown color of the paper and how it contrasted. Burnit, resist the urge to drop works. That "unfinished" piece you gave up on has potential. The angle is great and while I get that doing the face in that angle is hard, there's no place better to try than here. Wilbe, from afar the colours and the tiger look nice. However the head of the tiger is in 3/4 so the ear closest to you should be bigger than the one further away. Same with the cheek bones of the tiger. But the right cheek is double the size this time than the left. It's not that big of a difference in size while is 3/4

thanks, but I'm a tad bit confused, I heard that you shouldn't tackle construction until you've gotten the hang of drawing what you see (Keys to Drawing), but I've been stuck on the first few lessons for months at this point and I desperately want to move on to Perspective Made Easy since that's what I'm supposed to do after I'm done with KtD

I remember watching this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpqEE9yU474)) which helped me with shapes back then, should I rewatch that or skip to FWAP and copy the 3d forms in the start of the book?

I will tell you what I see about your hands. And if you want, you will best tackle in however method you please.

If I'm not mistaken you first try to do a contourn of the hand and then you imagine the shadows with a color. The thing is, acording to what I see, your contours are way off. That's because in a way you are symbol drawing.

The first hand at top left appears off because at the moment you aren't noticing the difference between the anatomical structures of metacarpal and the fingers proper. If I were you, but then again I'm not so feel free to tackle it as you please, I'd start not seeing hands but rather full square prisms as fingers, a big cube as carpal bones and an egg and cillinder as thumb bone and thumb finger respectively.

Then again, the other anon is right, the too many chefs is a real thing, so take anything with a grain of salt.

You can try more than one activity at a time. It's also okay to jump around, especially if you're stuck for months on the same thing. Concepts can build upon each other, so for example working on something like perspective might come back to help your construction education.

Construction is drawing what you see. But if you at first don't understand the form, you construct what you see with the basic shapes. If by construction you mean "construction from imagination", that's not the same as using basic shapes and lines for drawing what you see.

At the end of the day you're another day older
And that's all you can say for the life of the dad
It's a struggle, being bad
Crits are worthless on your messy scribbles
One more day going through DAB, what is it for?
One day more drawing symbols

At the end of the day you're still stuck as a loner
And the art that you make doesn't excite or thrill
And your peers rocket past
They're gains dwarf what progress you're making
And old age is coming on fast, losing your will
One day nearer to dying

At the end of the day there's another day dawning
And our Clover's Good Morning is prepared to post
Daddies wake up pen in hand
The Tribunal will come any second
There are cheaters to be banned
There's a reckoning still to be reckoned and
There's gonna be hell to pay
At the end of the day

>Negakona

>Retard

>Creatue
I like the expression, proportions are a bit long, but it looks like that's intentional
>Dranandrom
Nice use of colour, hand could use a bit more work
>Koki
It's good that you keep drawing every day, I would suggest trying to set out vanishing points on the paper so that you get the perspective right
>Alarios
Nice perspective on the left one
>Nirest

>Fujo

>MysticLog

>Teethlikegodsshoes
Lots of small doodles, that mecha guy is cool
>Derp
D'Va is cute, very clean lines
>guespiere
Lots of character in the guy with the hat, also like the expression of bottom right

>Hermit Slug
S o u l
>Saucy
Just two friends having a good time
>Herodotus

>Mehmeh

>Bessiebee

>Cath
Scary... the dead guy on the right seems a bit too short

>Silvemis
Low-effort is still effort, keep at it
>Ass eater sixty nine
NIcely abstract face, his hair almost looks like it's on fire
>Ravioli
I like the angularity (?) the shading gives it, also I feel you should expand on that guy on the bottom right, looks like he might be an interesting character
>Paganini
Face structure is a bit wonky on the girl on the right, really nice eyes though. Might be good to use construction techniques to align everything. The guy on the left is also nice

the problem with this is that "first drawing" is a bit too strict, arbitrary, and variable. I'm sure a lot of daddies weren't really sure if they were even going to make something another day when they first started, comparing a 30 minute thing you did on a whim to something a year later with more deliberate time is a bit misleading, maybe something like "pick an early drawing" would work better, or "pick one of your first"

Challenge prestiges work on a sort of richter scale so prestige 5 challenges must be made incredibly difficult for the individual participant

How come I can work a job for 40-60 hours a week for 2000 hours a year but I can't draw for more than 2 hours a day??

Hope this looks alright.
Tried to make the rules flexible, you can make whatever sort of comic you'd like so long as it is a complete comic page. Whether you want to try doing complex, painted pages of a deep story or simple 4koma gag strips is up to you. It just has to be a comic.

>score 20
how do scores work in challenges?
like, if you submit two different submissions in the same day to a challenge does it up the score by 2?
and shdoul we split spreads in half and submit them separately?

>> No.4170108

>>4170104
I believe each submission counts as a point, even if it is submitted on the same day. If that is not the case, I will alter the challenge.

>> No.4170115

>>4170108
>each submission counts as a point
This is correct if the frequency is set to none

>> No.4170118

>>4170115
I meant you can submit multiple entries within a day I believe. If frequency is set to daily, only one submission on that day counts for the challenge

From what banana said it sounds like my account was recreated to fix a bug that happened when I posted. Don't ask me why it worked that way. Although honestly, I'm more surprised anyone had my profile address saved to notice something like that, because I didn't.
