I've been drawing a bunch of more human looking anthros and I think it's a conscious decision. It would be hard to make that woman act the same if she were a furry furry. Guarnido draws other females as anthros so it's not like he can't pull it off.

French comics come out whenever they're ready. There aren't any deadlines at all.
It wasn't rushed either. Amarillo took 3 years to make, which is the average of time it takes to make a Blacksad volume. In comparison, the third book took only 2 years to make and that one is far better than Amarillo in every way.

People speculate that the reason why Amarillo is so shit is because both authors are just burn out with the character, which is ironic because both of them said the series will go on forever.

Compare the celebration scene in pic related. That's from the anime that took 13 years to make.

What did the artist of pic related ( Lars Martinson) REALLY do wrong? He claims he spent too much time on details etc.
