I think if you darken the water or the sky, because your sketch is done in such a fine line it might become a little hard to read
If you darken anything i would shade the characters in too
Or thicken their linework and keep the sky/water very light grey
Also is there supposed to be anything in the water? If not id crop around half of it so the focus is on the characters

Also also protip - when drawing the rings in water be careful the elipses are nice and aligned otherwise it looks like some alien portal or something. Also the ripples are really thin (look at a reference), so you dont need to shade them in (the black line is the shading if that makes sense)

The head thing could have become more 3D if a few of the loops overlapped other elements like the collar and/or hand.

I use indian ink, it's great. For my dip pen I have ''ordinary'' pilot ink (water soluble) and indian ink (=waterproof). The pilot works on everything and gets tight and shiny without bleeding, but it smears and dissolves as soon as it gets close to moisture (actually useful for ink washes).

The indian ink bleeds through most of my ordinary paper so I have to use it on bristol/heavy hot press stuff, but it is waterproof so I can use watercolors with it. Though smooth paper is not ideal with watercolors, so maybe markers/other stuff that'd cause problems with non-waterproof would be better. Office pens and most fine liners are waterproof by the way. This day I tried to draw Steve from Minecraft, I realted it to "build".

Thank you for your words about my MGS2 drawing, I love Shinkawa's style.

Your style reminds me to Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim's author). I really like it.

Tone and transitions are very well managed here. Keep it up, anon!

I've seen this drawing a couple times but I just realized those tiny mammuts inside the ice cubes. Nice touch!

Didnt spend a lot of time on this one.

Yea, but creativity and composition should still account for something.

Also I guess the trend to sell is to put a rainbow flag next to your username and let everyone know you’re a massive fag while you draw (gay) fanart of questionable quality.

#Linktober Day 5: "First of Poe Trio"
Surprised how good this one came out considering how little time I had to work on it, as my schedule was pretty crazy today

thanks anons, i got a brush pen today to go with it, i mean i still suck and my drawings are still shit and i had to rush this one because i didn't have too much time, but it seems like fun

Second quoted here. Worry not, I had to rush today as well.
The idea is to complete a visual idea every day to the best of your current ability and time, not to build pressure and hate drawing.

It's all about building the healthy habit of drawing daily. If you're having fun, you're in the right path. Eustress should be welcomed, but not abused.
