Nah. Alphonso Dunn, for example, is doing just fine. Who am I gonna uphold standards to; 1 random buttsniffer on /ic/ or 1 guy who has relative success. He is exactly who I was thinking of when I posted that. Whatever good advice he might have is ruined by seeing his hands. I'm sure many people feel the same way. He would be a lot more successful with gloves on and a text to speech voiceover instead of his own voice. I'm not saying you and he can't have some success, but you are alienating 50% of your potential audience by not hiding your origins. I don't expect most people who've spent most of their life honing their skills to be the best teachers, but 'making learning fun' is never the priority, people watch tutorials to learn only- especially if its a 'college level' audience. Its okay to be dry, just make sure you've organized your points well enough.

Adobe Audion allows you to enhance your voice with filters and stuff. You can tweak your voice to sound more like a radio host or if you have a girly voice you can sound even more like a girl with the right adjustments. Then with Audacity you're obviously removing white noise, boosting the bass to sound more deep (if you want), and other adjustments so that your voice is more better than it actually is.
