it doesn't read very clearly if you look at the thumbnail or with your eyes squinted you can't tell wtf is going on, too many small high contrast shapes, no coherent value structure. It looks like an image that is supposed to be coloured like the last thread. It would probably look fine with with the colours giving the image more of a hierarchy.

I'l start by saying that I actually like this picture, but there are certain choices made that make these characters less attractive than they could be. despite being heavily stylized, the faces are proportionally grounded in realism, and the bone structures of the women are masculine with strong jawlines sharp cheekbones and prominent brows. the breasts are obviously hard and plastic looking, and everyones heads seem just a little too large.

It's true. Sequential art is not gallery work. Your eye isn't supposed to be drawn to a single focal point on the page, it's supposed to be pulled across it. Kirby was a master of it and it shows in the OP's piece.
