Why are there so many pro-chicken scratch threads lately. If you're that confident in the way you sketch being a good method, go draw instead of making a fuss about it.

yeah that's great but those lines are going to have to be a lot smoother once it's inked over. you can sort of get away with chicken-scratch if it's pencil because you can claim it's a "rough".

chicken scratching is making a line by going forward and backwards a small distance over and over

making a continuous line on top of another and so on is not chicken scratching, its bad line economy

one deals with how you do your lines, the others with what you do with those lines

number 2 is not chicken scratching, several lines done on top of each other in an bad attempt to make a longer lines

they both look bad, but atleast know how to make the difference, its the first step in figuring out what you are doing bad so you can stop
