I know this thread exists just to meme on /asg/ but I wish there was more insight into cartoons and their techniques on /ic/. Great animation and cartoons seem to have a certain insight into pose, expression, gesture, and design that seems so elusive.

I love anime stuff, but I feel it sometimes lacks a little bit of "life" compared to cartoons. I love Imaishi and Yoshinari a lot because they're able to combine some of best elements of both very well

The racoon's design is the only thing that bothers me. I think it's the perfectly round eyes and floating thick eyebrows. Perfect circle eyes are probably the thing I hate most about nu-western art. Disney and WB don't have perfectly round eyes which make it way more appealing.
