Many of these pros are hired because they know how to draw cute lolis and then go on to make artbooks with their gameart/concept work from their jobs or go on to make doujins. Some do both.

Playing it safe with work safe material that is borderline 'NSFW' is the trick. There are game and movie companies that are fine with creating characters that expose skin. Some of these characters can even look ridiculously young if you work for an indie game company or a Japanese game developer for instance. All you'd have to do is make the characters loli.
So you can market your loli game (Fate:GO, Etrian Odyssey, Fire Emblem) you just have to know who you're working with, your audience, and more.

Well first it's a very niche market in the west. It exists for sure, but it's hard to market yourself since pretty much every popular platform bans loli. And even in places that allowed it like 8ch, the loli boards were so slow, ic is a space rocket in comparison.
Then if you gain traction and popularity, your art is gonna brand you as unhirable by the mainstream crowd. Case in point, steam has banned a safe gape because the art was done by a loli artist. (Key to home, I think).
Finally, you're gonna get harassed. I've seen it happen to people I know 3 times: once for a naked sailor mercury pic on deviantart (technicaly underage, banned), a Zelda BotW boobs pic (technicaly underage, harassed out of the art discord the artist was part of), and once for a Futaba pic. All of three were sporting a "the characters depicted are interpreted as being 18+", and teens rather than lolis, but it doesn't stop people to feel "morally right" to come after you.

So if you want to do loli, by all means do, but be aware that it's not an easy path, so I wouldn't walk on it except if you, yourself, like it.

I don't know if my work would convince you either but I got to 20k in about 18 months. The more followers you have the quicker you can gain them and, looking at other artists as a reference, things really speed up once you get past 30-40k followers. From what I can tell, If you can get to 50k it's almost guaranteed you'll get to 100k assuming you keep up consistency.

It's kind of frustrating because I basically can't grow beyond where I am right now (at least as far as NSFW goes).

Non-japanese lolicon artists seem to come and go more frequently than other types of porn artists, especially the ones that get "big", so I think any newcomers to the market have a pretty decent shot at making a name for themselves, but you might get burned out quickly after getting banned a couple times off mainstream sites and being forced to only hang out on non-mainstream sites.

I post primarily on non-mainstream sites to avoid having to deal with that anguish, even though I don't really draw porn. I think it might be a more future-proof way to start as a loli artist.

Things are very different when it comes to underage stuff anon and it depends heavily on your target fan-base. If you draw graphic loli content, you will be treated differently by certain groups. So at the very least post your lolis on non-mainstream sites exclusively so you don't have your twitter randomly suspended.

As for using separate names I don't think its a bad idea but personally I would just make a spin off name from your main handle so that your works will be somewhat separated. Because imo unless you can 100% draw in a different style when creating loli people will eventually find out you draw loli especially if you've become somewhat popular. Funnily enough I've recently stumbled upon the sfw twitter account of a popular loli artist on Baraag whom swears they don't have a twitter. It was interesting seeing different types of work from them.

If you're doing "ecchi" you don't have much too worry about. It's the Japanese equivalent of softcore imagery, so you would not be drawing any sexual activity/hentai, but things like breasts and genitalia are fine within reason. You can find loli dressed in skin-revealing clothing, in glamour/erotic poses or artistic nudes for example.
