I don't think it's possible for most people to learn how to draw with his direct method. Similar looking drawings sure, but drawing such complex compositions with a brush pen starting from random points on the paper with no construction and virtually no visible mistakes is extraordinary

KJG is basically a high functioning autist with photographic memory. You're more likely to win the lotto than to ever be able to do exactly what he does. KJG knows he is different from other artists. Don't be fooled by his humility when people ask him about how much he practices. Do you think if he told people the truth they would keep paying to see his lectures? No.

None of this is to say you can't become a great and successful artist in your lifetime. Stop wanting to be like him and find your own path.

It is more than likely i won't ever do exactly as he does ( starting up complex compos from seemingly random points with no construction nor ref ). But how about aproximating to his end results? even if i can't emulate his insane process, could someone put out similar drawings albeit in more time and with more work put in
