you have small perspective mistakes, some parts of the helmets are distorted to different degrees, for example on top two helmets side plates are different sizes, while eye sockets are the same
they aren't that noticeable (except for eye sockets on bottom right helm) but give viewer weird feeling, like you don't know if they are looking straight to me or slightly turned away

Sitting woman: right arm and torso too long. Lower back and left ribcage area out of whack. Random back/shoulder blade muscles look like they were thrown on there just to fill out the back without any conaideration of where they should be. Muscles on arms and neck don't wrap into and connect to their neighbors as they should. Ass is facing directly at us but should be turned a bit (cheeks should overlap from this perspective). If there's too much noodle put more hard edges in the joints, if it becomes too stiff add more curves where you see the longest gesture line. For gesture it's best to find what works for you, but following the spine amd constructing ribs from the spine like Vilppu is a great way to make sure you're actually drawing a figure instead of just doing gesture.

Well it seems like you're thinking of gesture drawing as its own thing when it isn't. Timed exercises are exactly that, they're exercises to help you see the gesture lines of a figure's pose. I agree it is a lot to take in and put into practice, it's annoying and requires a lot of trial and error to see how you can exactly fix shapes along with gesture and make those shapes show gesture. Take your time to figure it out then you can try and apply it to your timed exercises. Many figure drawers really stress how quickly you're supposed to see the gesture of a pose, that's what a 30 sec figure drawing is (some can do it in 10 seconds like Vilppu), but just take your time trying to figure it out then throw in some timed exercises to see how much you're actually understanding

What helped me is to not just "draw what I see" but to construct from what I see. For the face, for example, build construction lines from reference. Forehead, eyebrows, cheeks, etc. Look at your reference then draw it by first constructing these forms. Don't just draw the lines as you see them. Learn some construction method then replicate it on something that you see.

You'll need construction forms to draw from memory, so practice them on a reference first.

People here keep saying "loomis this" and "loomis that". They forget that, in order to learn the construction, you should be using the loomis method to construct and draw from reference so that when you want to try the loomis method from imagination you'll have the process memorized.

There are multiple ways to do this such as line wrapping, hatching and using value (soft/hard edges). "T junctions" are a good way to show depth using line but this requires a good knowledge of muscle inserts to be useful for figures. If you want to "fake" depth you can manipulate the perspective and pose. That is, a 3/4 figure at a low camera angle has more implied depth due to overlapping forms, compared to a eye-level perspective with a small degree of convergence on a front-facing figure. At the end of the day this isn't good advice, just focus on perspective and things start falling into place when it comes to implying depth.

I'm using the underside of my hand to anchor my drawing hand, but a bit of sweat is making my hand stick to the page every once in a while, which throws off my lines. I put a piece of plastic under my hand, which helps me draw smooth lines, but I don't see anyone else doing this.

Its hard to remember that looking at books and reading about art and talking about process and tips on the internet etc is nit drawing. You need to just draw 90% of the time instead of draw 10% of the time and then talk about it and go back to the internet. Kim Jung Gi is not some sort of superhuman, you can get there no problem if you just choose to spend all your free time drawing

Anyway, how's my construction /beg/. These are all 5 min sketches, focusing only on construction. Some shadow added to get a better feel of the forms.

Here's the method:

Good things I see
You have a set light sources and well visible contrast between the light and shadow areas. This is visible on both characters which is great.

The Green monster (is it a Pokemon?) really pops against the background with its saturated and lighter color.this is good it is not lost and clearly visible.

Not so good things
The character does pop against the background but the dark colors of the clothes make it a bit more lost in the background. The white parts help it somewhat so it is not too bad but still sometimes it "hiding", the shoes are practically invisible, on the plus side the face is very visible which is good.

Anatomy and gesture, I understand that you are going for this Adventure Time like style where characters behave like they are made of clay/rubber/whatever soft material.

However if you look at them they still have mostly realistic proportions (except the dog) and gestures like how the vampire girl stands hunched but still is balanced her body still supported on the legs and the weight between the head chest and bug is balanced. On yours the character is not balanced the body is titling towards the left, while the feet are positioned like it is standing straight and into the camera while the torso is clearly turned towards the left and even bending forward slightly . Moreover the neck and head is not positioned in the center of the torso it seems like it is coming from the shoulder on the left. The arms are not equal in length. (but again style can bail you here)

One can barely see it is holding a pokeball(?), while the hands are small by style we need to know what that is because it is important for the context of the picture

I can see exactly what your problem is. You're not drawing the facial features as 3d objects. You're painting them on. My sketch is trash but it illustrates what I'm trying to explain. I draw the eyes as spheres and I wrap the lids around the spheres. And I place the spheres in the eye sockets. And then the nose is like a little pyramid sitting on the face and the mouth is like a staircase or a shelf almost. Again I know mine is trash but trust me, this is one of your biggest problems. Learn to draw a skull. Learn where facial features go on the head, and break them down to simple shapes that you can draw in 3d.those football shaped eyes are not gonna cut it.

The guy who sketched multiple faces is doing the eyes just fine. For one thing, the kruger sperg has some fucked up eye sockets that he's even bragging about. Not to mention that giant flat oversized clown mouth and pretzel ear with an upper hole in it.
This all must be bait as the difference in skill is massive. Some other guy even politely mentioned for him to not give advice for 6months (assuming he will continue to practice for that long), but It's more like 1.5 years in my opinion.

Fix the jaggies in pic related.
There are a lot of blurry edges around the planet that don't look too good. There are almost no stars on the outer edge of the canvas, that takes away from the sense of continuity, of "having more to see". Lastly, your sun kinda looks a bit like Navi from Zelda with that lens flare, though this is not really a fault, it's kinda cool actually.

It's not symbol drawing but it's also not completely accurate A lot of the angles and proportions are off, most notably the eyes are too small and the face is not as wide as the ref.
