It's ironic because STEM is a lot easier to self-study online. If you're trying to learn programming and you have a question, you can go to stackoverflow.com or any of the other hundreds of programming forums online and professional programmers will give you detailed answers for absolutely nothing, just because there's such a strong culture of cooperation and knowledge-sharing in STEM. Ask a professional artist a question and they'll either tell you to fuck off or buy their $500 premium course.

>A. In general FZD admission will focus more on the applicant’s interest in the entertainment industry versus the drawing skills. However having some knowledge and experience in drawing will benefit those who enroll in our program.

>Q. What if I can’t draw at all?

>A. Having a strong drawing background definitely helps, but it is not an entrance requirement at our school. We’ve had students who didn’t draw much at all before enrolling at FZD, but graduated with high-quality portfolios.

imagine paying 40k burgeroos to draw like a sub-10k follower artist on twitter.

>90% got an job in industry instantly

Literally every trade school on the planet will say this, I took a post-grad course for a legal practicing license and they include me in their 90% statistic as well despite my "job" being more of an internship-esque agreement and will terminate automatically in a year.

Connections are important but it ain't going to be worth shit if you don't have the skills to actually enter into meaningful employment in the first place.

You are not going to be satisfied after finishing a ninety thousand art course to do basic grunt work that pays a little bit over the minimum wage, nobody is going to hire these poor sods when you can easily find a hundred more people out there that are probably going to work for less.
