I use the glove for the same reasons OP uses it, I sweat alot and sweat on a screen tablet isn't fun. However, I don't have issues OP is having, shit works just fine for me and I live in the hot as fuck southeastern US.

also I forgot, there is a cheaper method I used. You can wrap some absorbent cloth or paper around your hand like pic, and then (if it is still wet) put the glove on

Before Wacoms, they usually only showed up when people were doing delicate work, like calligraphy, or airbrushing, and they were white cotton or rayon. Most people just put a piece of paper down on the area that's worked, to not smear it. I dislike wearing gloves when I work, so I tried one with my Cintiq, and hated it, but my hands don't sweat and the monitor doesn't get that hot anyway. I don't even know where mine is right now.

Moist hands causes this skipping effect and it can get really annoying, not to mention streaks and kind of rainbowing effect from the moisture on the screen. Adding to all the benefits and the crap from your hands constantly being wiped and drying on all your belongings.

I wash my hands on water mixed with baking soda then rub them with the same talcum powder I use for my feet when I go out. they dry. So far it has worked for me.

The oils and dirt on your hands constantly rub against and degrade the surface. Eventually it will erode the layer of grit on the glass.
The glove is only relevant for screen tablets with glass panels or on traditional to prevent smudging. You don't need this for screenless tablets.
