The tongue is really well defined it has depth and dimension to it, but the lips look kinda flat, the rest of the face even flatter, everything below the face is as flat as in ancient Egypt

Mostly because I’m pretentious, but I think if a single frame represents one scene or moment in time, splitting it into multiple frames can drag it out. You could also looks at it like a camera panning down over the scene. I definetely didn’t come up with it myself it’s used a lot in comics

Ideally, you should be able to draw in any style you want, and your own signature style is basically a cross between your own natural hand/tendencies + stylistic design choices you steal from other artists/techniques. Lots of artists eventually find their niche after trying out multiple approaches and just stick to it, not really attempting a style but just drawing as it pleases them. But of course there's also people who have multiple styles depending on the medium/idea, and that's not really a bad thing since variation/contrast is key to good character design, and you can use your inconsistent nature to your advantage. Everyone is different, so you just need to keep working and find out what is most successful for you.

I like this one but I can't really read the jaw/snout of the one on the left unless I try really hard. The way the snout curves almost perfectly in line with the neck and the very thin line on the bottom of the jaw makes gives the illusion that the throat exists both in front of and behind the face at the same time.

I mostly just exaggerated shapes that were already there, I feel like you felt unsatisfied with your drawing because you kind of went half-in with the form- the eyes are exaggerated but the body is mostly proportionate and so on. I added more space above her head, squished her face in a bit, added poofier sleeves, and somewhat slimmer waist. Hope this helps

On the other hand the head shadow implies an overhead light but again a lot of places should be in shadow and the belly should have a deeper shadow.

I had the same experience, which is why I stuck with Intuos instead of cintiq. Intuos also doesn't "drag" like cintiq does. Much faster and more responsive.

Yeah the lag between strokes is a big enough problem to say fuck it to the whole thing honestly.

Main things I see: overly fuzzy and thick linework for the bodies compared to the faces, heads are quite small in proportion to the body, and tits are quite high up on the ribcage. Also bottom girl has a fairly blocky ribcage. I'd try drawing some good anime girl copies and focus hard on proportions. Also anatomy studies in general

The bottom girl's head is alright depending on where you're coming from, what made me say her head is too small was the fact that her ribcage is too large in proportion to it. The head is ok compared to the shoulders though.

The top girl's head definitely looks too small to me. Maybe make the canvas big enough for a full body shot, add a couple long sexy legs and you should see what I mean. Unless you're going for a big milf type, I just didn't get that impression from her face.
