I feel girls are just more marketable nowadays , since I think a lot of people on social media want to see art that is pretty/cute or sexy rather than something "cool" or handsome. I also feel like it basically creates a feedback loop, where artists see everyone around them drawing girls, so they are given more inspiration to draw girls. Whereas if an artist wants to try drawing guys, they have a bit smaller of a base to work off of.
I think many straight girls are good at attractive women because they're constantly surrounded by images of attractive women to draw from as reference. As a kid, I only drew girl, it was mostly because I was under the influence of magical girl shows and my obsession of them at the time. Girl was just naturally more fun and appealing to draw, they were the one with the curves, colourfull and unique designs in general. The men were alway boring, stale and forgetful designs, sometimes even down right ugly and mute colours.

In ancient Greece and Rome, the male figure was considered the ideal figure, which is why the greatest examples of sculpture used men as subjects.

This was later revived in the Renaissance, with the rise of Humanism, and the male figured was idealized as "perfect". Female form was more emotional and decorative.

You really should study more art history, because you're just utterly misguided on what drove art in other eras.

In my experience drawing the female body is easier and more interesting than drawing the male one. It has more exaggerated shapes, whereas the male is more subtle, and is often confused for "boring", unless you're drawing hyper muscle stuff. The structure of the face is actually the opposite, with the female being more subtle, but then you realize you can just put lipstick and eyeliner on pretty much any face to make it feminine. With men, you have to get the facial structure right, or it's more obvious you fucked up.

That, and art of women is just more popular and considered more mainstream and acceptable. If you draw pinups of girls you can still work in mainstream industries and be taken seriously. If you draw pinups of men then people will label you a "filthy fujo" and it's harder to get mainstream work. There's frequently debate about how many people in fine art just draw waifish naked girls and everyone slobbers over how meaningful and high art it is, but god forbid you draw dicks. Then you're just a degenerate pornographer.

Touken Ranbu, Free, Yuuri on Ice, Male Idol, are still quite popular; the card game stuff feature a lot of long lashed and long haired males. There is excitement for the new rebooted Fruit's Basket. I believe the reason for my obsession with muscle stems more from what they symbolize.
In a traditional sense, when I see a man with a strong physique , what I see is a man with determination, a man with a goal, a man who has his standard set and won't back down from any challenge, a man who's frame reflect the strength of his mind and character.
