As a piece of advice, trying starting with something a bit less ambitious. One figure doing something lewd, looking sexy, w/e. It will let you reign your focus in a bit and it will be easier to redo it once you've spotted mistakes.

Hello anons. I have a question.

I often draw NSFW drawings, and mainly upload it on Pixiv. It has been great. Problem is, I also want to upload speed drawing videos somewhere but I couldn't find a platform that tolerances NSFW drawing materials. Hell, i know this is the porn thread but that might be worth exploring artistically for you. In my opinion it's fertile ground and no one does it, though for good reason: you'd get torn apart in the modern fine art world. As a man you'd be seen as objectifying and misogynist, as a gay man you'd be a quaint artist fighting repression, and as a women you'd be instantly put into the box of lesbian or loose woman who does erotic art. It isn't taken seriously as a deep form of expression for anyone. I don't do porn but i incorporate sexual imagery into my art as an emotional symbol.

The Fiona's fat is drawn semi realistically so her gut has basically no shape. Meth on the other hand idealizes and stylises the fat making skin look tight and without stretching. It looks much better.

Don't be too sure about not making money for a long time! I got my first commission 2 months in. The most important thing you can do is network. Find other lewd artists who are just starting out or have a small following, join lewd art discords and post links to your latest drawings etc. I post on twitter and hold art raffles once in a while, usually when I hit a follower landmark I set for myself. You can take art requests if you want but usually the people who request it are just that, people who want free art. Its better to hold art trades with other artists, that way you can also get noticed by their followers.

I worked for studios and did sfw freelance work for about 5-6 years. Then moved to smut comics under commission for a pay site for a couple of years.
After that I made a tumblr account and started offering private commissions. The idea was to produce as much art as possible that looked good, but didn't took too much time, so that it still could be profitable.
Once I reached 20k followers I opened a Patreon. I've had it for 2 years now and I'm at $5k.

Right now I'm basically offering free commissions to my patrons and still trying to produce as much content as possible to keep up the exposure.
I ended up with 80k followers on tumblr once it banned smut, so I moved to twitter. I'm at 42k there right now.

Imo posting as much art as possible on socials is most important. As you do that you'll create exposure, which will bring in commissions, which will create more exposure, etc. It's a loop with a snowball effect.
And while you do this, you'll also improve your art.

Like an artbook or playing cards? Apparel or maybe commission a statue? Just to lighten your load and make money even more passively?
